Why is A. Flanigan in the G league camp roster?

Does this mean he is declaring for the draft or just testing his skills?

Testing the waters. At the very least, should be a very good experience for him to go through.

He will play.

They breakdown his game and will give him specific things to improve.

People who will be drafted or are borderline get NBA combine invites.

The next tier down, IE players who might have a shot next year, usually go to the G league camp because it lets their game get evaluated and they find out what they need to work on.

I can tell him without having to watch some G-League camp. Areas for improvement: Dribbling, shooting, passing, defending, rebounding.

Flanigan with a solid showing in game 1. 6 points, 3 assists, and 1 turnover in 17 minutes against solid competition.

JD Notae went 1 for 13, had 5 turnovers and a team low -17.
