I know, we haven’t changed or learned anything. Our donors and others interfere too much it appears. We have lost one of the big six standing in the SEC. We are the new MSU, Arky, Vandies of the league.

Many of that roster will be gone after another year anyways.

It's obvious why no decent coach will even give us a second look and we have to hire coaches that no one else wants.

Now watch Travis Williams be brought in as DC.

He can bring his awesome Arkansas defensive philosophy with him. He did such an outstanding job there.

Auburn football is a joke.

Cohen better go camp out on Dan Lanning’s doorstep like Mal Moore did with Nick Saban. Don’t bother coming back without him. We’ll pack up the shite in your office and mail it to wherever the frick you land.

I mean when we used to not have to fire/hire coaches so often I get how you could get caught up in one of these soap operas but how are you guys still falling for/melting over every Twitter post?

Keef gets em again.

Seriously though, if we end up with Durkin...

That would be putting ourselves in the pine box. Like metafour mentioned, Durkin hasn't been mentioned in ANY of the coaching searches going on right now, kind of like how no one was beating down the door at Liberty to hire Freeze besides Auburn.

Ironically I feel like the booster side of things was fully behind the Freeze hire, they just chose a guy who hadn't been able to coach big league football in like 10 years.

I fell for it too.

When I read it all I could see was fury and rage.

The only way to eff this up worse would be giving durkin a huge buyout.

There will sadly be a large contingent of AU folks that wanted Durkin and that will think Cohen hit a homerun. They'll likely be clamoring for us to hire Caddy as OC.

History and past experiences.

Seems like we would be use to it by now.

If Durkin is the guy, I’m hoping Cohen strongly suggests his coordinators to bring in and fricks that deal up too. I’d piss myself silly to read Durkin turns down Auburn gig because he wanted autonomy with hiring his staff

Iron bowl and coaching search going on at the same time is not a good space for Auburn fans to be in

Wait: so that was a troll? If so, Kudos. I was about to start chugging this bourbon.

Ok, I specifically remember Cohen saying a couple of weeks ago that he had been reached out to by a number of sitting college football head coaches about the job. That Auburn was a coveted job.

I want that list of coaches so we can shame his arse for either being inept or being a liar.

Me thinks he is just a liar.

(Does ironspuppet have the list?)
