Let's see how many coaches Auburn can hire 20 years. Make a game of it.
Maybe we can do 3 more shite hires in the next 6 years.

Not making a bowl, consistently losing, being unproductive, empty stadiums will chase recruits away too buddy.
The only reason I hear anyone wanting freeze around is for recruiting. No one wants him here for his coaching.

I actually had pretty much the same thought in the shower this morning.
It seems like most of these issues can be traced back to hiring Leath as University President.
If I remember correctly he was rumored to be the driving force behind Gus's 2017 extension. Then he wanted to get rid of Bruce. By going against Leath and keeping Bruce, Green thought he could make hires unilaterally and goes and gets Harsin because they bonded in a hot tub.

Well we just paid off Gus (4 years). 2 more years for the potato farmer. We need to spend our money on a QB transfer, not paying hugh 18 million not to coach. Buy a freaking team.

Freeze is a great recruiter. Auburn needs a great recruiter and a coach that can develop and motivate his team. I honestly don't know who that would be. I agree the roster needs to be filled with high school players but the glaring positions of need should be addressed in the portal. Freeze admitted that wasn't his strong suite. If he fails again in 2025 to address the needs with transfers we will be right back in this position next season. Mostly because they aren't developing the kids they are recruiting.

I'm just venting in all these posts a bit.. but I have lost 94% of my care from everything going on in the sport.
That other 6% is barely hanging on.
Winning solves all problems. Unfortunately, we ain't doing much problem solving..

Rich Rod would not have lasted 4 years and probably have been replaced by someone not Saban.
Hiring a coach is largely a gamble and the odds have not been working out for us.
