Plenty of overreacting in this topic. Kind of surprised honestly considering what we had last year. What was everyone expecting? I mean who actually believed he was Cam 2.0?
I saw no reason to jump ship from this game. They will be working with him a lot after this game. Doesn't help the kid that he had receivers dropping passes.

Give him a couple of games. He missed some passes, but was poised and made good decisions and protected the ball. His receivers didn't do him a ton of favors either. I don't know the numbers, but he had solid second half.
I can agree with this

I'm still pissed about our pass defense. That QB threw over 300 yards.
Fun stat from the game:
WSU QB 344 yards on 65 attempts = 5.3 yards per attempt
NM 99 yards on 19 attempts = 5.2 yards per attempt

They passed a bunch but they still ran for over 100 too.
We didn't need to pass as much because we were running at will.

I was really surprised he didn't keep the ball more often on the read option plays.

He handed off to Mason or Grant, can't remember which one, but if he'd have kept it, it was a TD. I don't know how much read option he ran in JUCO, but I hope he learns the reads quickly.

Accuracy needs work, but mobility wise he looked like he had been taking notes from OMac on how to let a stiff breeze knock him off his feet. He is mobile, but for a guy his size he went down way too easy at times tonight..

Does anyone else think Tre Mason is overrated?

Not at all. Quite the opposite

He returned a kick off 100 yards and had several drive extending runs from scrimmage tonight. Tre is about as solid as they come.

You people are stupid drama queens. I promise, y'all must be a bunch of girls on the rag. Did you not watch the game? Marshall was much better than want we had last year. What hasn't improved is our receivers. When a pass is thrown at your chest and you drop it, there's not much a QB can do about that. And why, seriously, would you hold any Auburn the standard of Cam. Really?

If you guys remember Cam wasn't exactly a polished passer his first few games. I would go as far to say he didn't look great until the South Carolina. Nick isn't Cam either. I am content with Nick's play tonight. He did a good job of avoiding the pass rush and protected the football from turnovers. We didn't need him to pass either.

Just for a little fun...

He's looked like shite...it may be a long season for this offense

He was awful. If he's that fricking bad, just start JJ and be done with it.

After what I saw out of him, I'm trying to figure out how we'd be in worse shape with the true Freshman starting.

Gus made an intereseting comment about Nick knowing 25% of the offense when we played Wash St.

Now that he knows all 4 plays...
Can't. Be. Stopped.

Gus stated a couple of days ago Marshall knew 25% of the playbook against WSU...should that factor in and make these guys look less stupid or no?
