That’s what my wife’s hospital is encouraging. Uncontrolled fever, shortness of breath that’s stopping you from completing normal sentences, etc = go. Everything else, stay and isolate

Thanks, Jonesy. Glad to get that confirmed.

Thanks. Good article. It sounds like we will be less likely as summer gets here.
Lot of fear that it picks right back up in the fall when it cools down again though

Hopefully by then we have a cure. The first possible vaccine started trials in the last few days.
LINK
The good thing......it won't take months to see if this works. They should know quickly and hopefully begin the second phase of testing, instead of back to the drawing board.

The first human trial testing a potential vaccine to prevent COVID-19 began Monday, U.S. health officials confirmed.

The National Institutes of Health, an agency within the Department of Health and Human Services, has been fast-tracking work with biotech company Moderna to develop a vaccine using the genetic sequence of the new coronavirus. The trial is taking place at the Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute in Seattle, Washington, where COVID-19 cases have surged and authorities have banned mass gatherings. The early-stage, or phase 1, trial will test the vaccine on 45 males and non-pregnant females between the ages of 18 and 55, according to trial details on NIH’s website.

In the meantime, some health authorities are using Gilead Sciences’ antiviral drug Remdesivir, which was tested as a possible treatment during the Ebola outbreak. CDC director Robert Redfield said at a separate hearing last week that the drug is being used in Washington state.

Fauci said vaccines won't be ready for at least 12 months and likely 18.
Here is an article on why that is. Really basic reasoning is that before we stick hundreds of millions with needles we want to know
1) vaccine works (multiple steps to confirm)
2) it is safe for genpop
3) Side effects / people who are at risk by taking

They went straight to human testing. Those participants deserve a parade when all this is over

Reporting that without information pertaining to their prior health condition is nothing but pure fear mongering.

They later defined critical as being in ICU in this circumstance. “No known” is another key portion there.
It’s been known that some younger adults are needing the highest level of supportive care offered. They’re just highly likely to recover still.

You must have missed the "no underlying conditions" part Of the tweet

Na, that's you. Stop with the chicken little routine. Pulling obscure, half-truths from twitter to scare people is pretty fricking low. Use some fricking common sense, why would you want to contribute to this hysteria? Especially when that information hadn't been verified by any credible organization and still hasn't this morning.

You seem to be the only one not using common sense, going against CDC, government and science recommendations

Why are you always going insane in every thread?

Because most threads consist of the same douchebags with aligned opinions.
Everybody on the board doesn't agree with the douchebags, but they don't wanna engage and get ganged up on.
I don't mind being the martyr. I'm not scared to engage with the douchebags and get downvoted.

Dallas Fox affiliate reporter tweeted out that there are hospitalized patients in critical condition who are 20s/30s With no known underlying conditions
LINK
To further evaluate this link, and the responses both pro and negative to this report, this is what I found:
1. the reporter got it from a reliable source: The Dallas County Public Health Department
2. the inaccurate part is that NO WHERE does it say anything about 'no known underlying conditions'. LINK
3. The report does NOT say which reported cases are being hospitalized. Those 9 cases range from 20's to 70's, but I did not see any supporting document stating that the ones that are the youngest were some of the ones being hospitalized. Maybe they were, maybe they are not.
So it seems possible that the link and the posts here about the youngest being in critical condition and having no known underlying conditions is not accurate because it didn't specifically provide those specific details.
If you know specifics to support this post, let us know.

I just clarified what critical condition means specifically in this instance — in the ICU.
