I said it. Just rewatched the spring game and White clearly looked better in his delivery and decisions than PT did. I dont know about his running ability but he looks better out of high school than Throne does as a fairly experienced senior

One of the things Throne has going for him is his running ability. It is legit. But overall, White has a better delivery and sense about himself than PT.

I don’t really remember the game but these are the stats from the QB’s:

Payton Thorne: 9-13, 133 yds, TD; 4 rush, 20 yds
Hank Brown: 5-12, 102 yds
Holden Geriner: 7-10, 46 yds; 1 rush, -7 yards
Walker White: 5-13, 83 yds, 3 rush, -7 yards

I know stats don’t tell the whole story but Thorne put up far better numbers for what it’s worth.

Throne also played with the 1 offense. He had the better talent. But Im not even talking about that. Just watch them in the pocket and how they throw and release the ball

White is clearly better back there. I know he has a lot to learn but he is big and seems to see the field pretty well.

WW has a lot going on right now. He is learning everything on the go as a true freshman.

Also recently saw a picture of him with his mom that's battling cancer.

He just needs to comprehend the offense and take care of his family this year.

Nice info. Good watch as well. Thornes best throw was the deeper ball to #14...

White has so much less time back there, he is going to be pretty solid if given the chance to play.

PT has a good ability to scramble out and run the ball down field. I still think it is his best asset.

White was throwing to walkons, and they couldn’t catch his fastballs. I know 3-4 times I saw it bounce off their chests.

Dang it’s like PT throwing to the trash we had last year to our starters.

I said fastballs, that were also accurate. That doesn’t sound like noodle arm inaccurate PT at all.

You are the worst QB analysts of all time congratulations on your accomplishment.

And anyone who thought Walker looked better then Thorne in the spring game needs their head examined.

You’re retarded if you think PT has half the arm strength of White.

Seeing the long bodied WRs we got now I think at least half of these drops get caught now.

Average depth of these misses that hit our WR hands? 15.5 yards.

His arm is fine.

This is from 2022 (so his stats are higher) but Thorne's deep ball is useful enough

that were also accurate

Watching those WW dropbacks didn't see much accuracy at all. At least two sailed, including the first one he threw off his back foot with no pressure. Then about 4 that were way behind the WR on slants.

At least 2-3 drops in the bammer game that would have put it away without having to rely on the 2 man shadow dance defense on 4th and goal from the fricking 39 yard line.

Decent WRs would have made the difference in both games.
PT is not the problem.

I can’t remember which commentator it was but they pointed out that one of Thorne’s upsides was how well he ran against UGA despite his passing. I had forgotten that he actually passed well and he may have run well b/c UGA had to respect his arm, but his receivers gave him no help.

I like his scrambling ability. Like I stated before, it may be his best weapon

But it looks like our fans have fallen for another QB that is going to totally change this year.

Thorne can be an 8-5, maybe 9-4 QB.

Nobody is falling for him. We are saying we are in this position, now show us what our future can look like, but no matter what you do, dont fall on your face like you did last year.

I hope he does well because he has undoubtedly heard the ignorant takes about him nationwide.

Thorne has answered our most tender prayers.
