frick it. Read option every play, Kerryon in motion every snap. Let him throw a bomb once or twice a game. Worked before.

Dude, if the guy can throw as well as us, start him. a 4.28? Seriously? We are gonna be deadly with that shite in the backfield.

While it's yet to see how that speed translates to catching squirrels, he may be even deadlier because of his experience as a WR. You still have to keep an eye on him even if he doesn't get he handoff.
Hopefully he doesn't get tripped up by a long blade of grass or a sudden gust of wind like OMac.

John Franklin III barely has any experience at wide receiver.

To be fair, this whole thread has devalued facts of any type

But he's not going to be playing a real WR, point is he's got good enough hands that he was placed at WR at FSU and he has a basic understating of how to run a route.
He could be tGOAT wildcat player. He's a triple threat, 4.28 speed plus throwing and catching ability. That opens up some interesting options out of the wildcat.

I think you mean quarterback?

Probably not, but if Gus brings in a GT QB it is obvious whatever SW has isn't good enough.
I also think he has to be thinking about what to do if White gets hurt.
The kid earned some "gut" yards last year, but paid the price. I hate to say it, but every time he ran, I was worried he was going to get broken.
And he was clearly all we had last year for qb. It was painful to watch a kid who could not even put weight on his leg try to throw the ball or avoid a sack.
I like Malzahn, but I was furious to see that kid in the game when he clearly could not throw or protect himself.

So he's a WR/QB and now RB? This guy does it all. I bet he can kick 60 yard field goals too.

There is a lot more to running the read play than just being fast. We still do not know anything about this guy.
Time to pump the brakes....

Did you see the worm burner that hit the turf 3 feet in front of the WR during Aday?
It was every bit as bad as JJ's backwards pass

Yea well give him some time. I don't think the read is insanely hard to learn.

I still haven't watched the scrimmage. I don't see much point in doing so

But in the wildcat you could line him up out wide, in the speed sweep role, or at the QB spot and utilize his versatility.
I know whoever first said to line up JFIII in the OMac role was probably joking, but that's actually a really good idea. That opens up a ton of possibilities and we all know Gus loves his trick plays.

This question may earn (confirm) my reputation as the dumbest guy on this site: but is there ANY chance that Gus told any of the QBs to sandbag their abilities during A-day to fake out Clemson?
That seems unlikely, but just wanted to hear you guys shout me down.

Doesn't Gus love playing QBs at WR? It's a match made in heaven
