Only thing i've found that you've said was Freeze was interviewed today.
No one wants steele, most don't want a coach with past issues. There are plenty of coaches that can succeed at AU. Hire a guy and let everyone get behind him. Some fans will hate him from the day he's hired but most unless its some stupid choice like Steele will get behind and support and some like me will support regardless of who the coach is until they are no longer the coach. But we do need a coach that is either a great CEO type or a great offensive mind that must fill position coaches that are tops in their area and can recruit like madmen.

That is a dumbass comment. You think a good agent would allow his client to interview for a job where the school is trying just give the perception of a real search. Some of these people are at schools that will not appreciate them looking around.

The bigger issue is Auburn hiring and firing a guy worth several million dollars just to interview people.

This was decided after the IB. Anyone who tells you it happened Sunday morning is FOS.

How would you feel about Mike Gundy?

Any of them at SEC schools?

No.

Gundy
He's had several 7-8 win seasons in the last 10 years. His normal recruiting classes are #35-45 nationally.
I don't see Gundy as being a huge upgrade. I hope we are shooting higher than that. Plus, he played QB at Oklahoma State. Seems odd that he'd leave.

I would like Gundy fine if he embraces SEC culture. It's a dog eat dog world.

He almost took the Tenn job.

If it was Gundy can he steal Mike Yurcich away from UT to come with him?

I wouldn't consider Gundy a homerun hire. Or even a better coach then Gus but he would be able to recruit WRs I think if he is willing to put the hours required in the SEC as a head coach. He's been in the lax Big 12 where anyone not named Oklahoma just accepts the scraps of Texas and falls in line. If he has the fire to want to compete for SEC championships then Gundy would be a good choice.

Written about Gundy a year ago by a OSU homer sportswriter.
Summary -- Gundy's 2-13 against his in-state rival; not a good recruiter/doesn't like it; he's a decent in-game manager; and he's a very good program manager. This sportswriter wanted to see a post-Gundy succession plan.
Just one man's opinion, I know. But to me, that's a pass.

Other articles out there about Gundy's bad in-game management.

Plus didn't he piss off a bunch of his players by wearing an OANN shirt this summer?

Oh no can't have Gundy if he's not a SJW. Good grief. The longer we play this stupid game the more ignorant we all look.
Minorities aren't even asking for equality anymore. That assures equal opportunities and all people agree to that. The new mantra is equity meaning all outcomes are equal.
So when you see the talking heads talk about equity don't get it confused with equality.

You’re doing a fine job telling everyone they don’t know how anything works, so why don’t you enlighten us all on what’s going down with the BOT, coaching search, candidates, etc.
