I get your point , but OU already knows he can run, trying to keep them honest I would think. I can't wait for Stidham. Our QB talent is the worst I can ever remeber

Why doesn't jf3 keep the ball more on the read option? It's there a lot, he just can't read it. I miss Marshall, he could read the hell out of it!

That guy needs to get knocked out.

FGs aren't gonna beat OU but key is we got points to keep us in this. Not sure what the adjustment is on defense other than "can you tackle Mayfield please"....
Liked what Franklin did for our run game. Calling it now he's gonna hit a 20+ yd TD pass but he's also gonna have a turnover. If we can stop losing Mixon out of the backfield and find a rhythm with Franklin we can win this
But it's gonna be another one of those heart attack inducing AU games...

Stidham won't change our shity slow developing routes

You can do a lot of shite against Arkansas State.
That's fine. That doesn't make the play all of a sudden a fade route. It was a play that our fans have complained all season for not running enough, and then complain when we run it. OU just defended it well. It happens.

The offense looks like it has some life with JF3 in there. Just worried about mistakes (fumble, int). We needed something and maybe he will give us a spark.
I dont think Mayfield can keep making those plays without making a big mistake. He is playing well but one mistake and we can take it from him

There are quite a few OU players who need to get knocked out. Acting like tpos out there.

Because he hasn't thrown enough to keep the defense honest.

Rare picture of Sean White

JF3 can throw if the pressure isn't awful. But why Gus called (oops) Rhett called two passing plays at the end of that drive that showcase his weakness, I do not understand.
MIX. IT. UP. Mostly run. Occasionally pass. And we might win with JF3.
Do not put Sean White back in. Balls out with Franklin or nothing.

And that's my 1 main knock on malzahns offense. We need a passing/qb expert to help develop intricate schemes.

To answer your question the coaches tell him when to keep it and when to hand it off

cautiously optimistic for second half

We are lucky to be down only one, IMO. Our D is shitting the bed so far. Lining up offsides. Giving up a 3rd and 22 and a 4th and 4. Can't tackle the freaking QB. I'll be damned.

Bingo...we need that interception or massive hit to rock his confidence.

Do not be dense. We don't want to be throwing fade routes to fricking Hastings. Just because it works against Arky State doesn't mean it can work now.
The long ball will never be Hastings game. Our fans never imagined JF3 to be the one to throw the fade either.

This. With a ton of moving parts to throw the defense off. It opens up huge holes for pettway, because a linebacker has to stay with jf3. For some reason when we get to the opponents 30 yard line our coaches absolutely forget what to do.
