Maybe if we had more than ~18 minutes of possession our guys wouldn't be so tired

I agree, but we were missing tackles in the first quarter. Defense was easily the best of the three phases, but even they weren’t very good.

The defense seemed confused by the RPO

Let’s just say the OL is garbage, which it is, one unit shouldn’t completely destroy a team. These coaches should be able to coach around that a lot better than they’re doing.

Not like Gus would know what to do with Nixs talent

At this point, we should just sell out for a dual threat QB whose just an avg passer. We know Gus won't frick up w those

Bull fricking shite. This abomination is all on Gus.

90% of the time I'm with you.

Gus didn't miss Slayton for a TD when he could have caught the ball done ten jumping jacks, a couple of heel clicks, taken a nap and moonwalked in from the 25 yard line.

It's not his fault we had a clear TD taken off the board.

He didn't miss Slayton wide open in the back of the endzone, again.

He didn't muff a punt.

He didn't drop a screen pass on a huge 3rd down.

He didn't allow 170 rushing yards up the middle to a QB.

He didn't cause a replay official to award a TD when the opposing player was laying on the ground with his back short of the goal line and the ball on the other side of his body.

If you want to blame Gus for us being in this position OK but just judging on tonight he did about all he could do.

Boobie shouldn't have been playing? Starting Kam Martin is the bigger questionable decision.

How about you develop a fricking qb

Stidham just doesn't have it.

Too much alleged QB talent and WR talent for your OL to sink your offense

Hell, Whitlow averaged 11 yards a carry and only got 8 carries.

What the frick?

Tonight was a great example of how a DT QB can help a average OL. That 1/2 second hesitation for LB's and Safties in run support can be all the difference in the world to help a guard get to the 2nd level, etc...only an idiot wouldn't be out chasing every great DT QB they could find at Auburn with the schools around us sucking up every HS OL and DL that will go to the NFL to play.

Yep. Some of it was Fitz making the right read, but we were out of position a ton. Also our DL isn’t very disruptive which is something that throws a huge wrench in that type play.

I want KK to come back and tell the board that the run option no longer works in college ball like he did this summer. It kicked our arse tonight.

Yeah I can’t blame the defense. 42 minutes on the field.

42 minutes.

45 minutes would be 75% of the game, so you're saying that the MSU offense (and, thus, Auburn's defense) was on the field for nearly 75% of the game, right?

Yeah, whoever is bitching about missed tackles and the defense is some dumb sons'a bitches.

22 points in 42 minutes is .52 points/minute of possession

I take that all day, any day. You take up half the TOP like you should and your defense allows 15.6 points

There is a reason they had that time of possession. The defense was allowing them to sustain drives and gain 6 yds a rush. They didn't have huge plays just long lasting drives from running the football. I agree the offense didn't play well and we killed ourseves in spots. But the fact is the Defense played the run like shite tonight. This loss is on Auburn as a whole. No unit should get a pass for this performance. Coaches included as well

When we were down 7 with 6 minutes left to play, was it the right decision to go for it on 4th and 6, instead of kicking a FG? I think not.

Hell, we should have punted and pinned them deep.
