That is exactly what they did.

Yes it was, and my give a damn about anything that happens in CFB has permanently been relegated to the NFL level of damn not given!

Yeah he’s a weak man.
He just blabbered about whatever and couldn’t say it. He wouldn’t fight for Auburn and he’s paid really good money to do so.

They’re all freeze losses. Every one of them looks the same. Fire him.

Yes, Freeze should've coached the second half better.
No, I don't agree it was all on him. The feel of the game was the refs would punish us until we gave up. This is the first season I can remember where we've lost two top-10 matchups pretty objectively largely due to ref interference.
Not excusing Freeze, but this was WWE level bullshite TV.
It's not crazy to think the SEC is sending us a message about hiring Freeze.
Even without that though, he sucks arse and was never even that good when he was in his prime 10 years ago. Fire now.

Yeah the offense pretty much mentally gave up after that

We got absolutely fricked by the refs.
And no I didn't read your post

For Auburn fans
-refs were dirty
-freeze backed down
-refs were dirty
-freeze backed down

That sequence changed the psyche of the game.
And it's the coach's job to prepare his team to overcome that.
We had a touchdown lead at the half and UGA was never overwhelming. Our defense played well enough to win that game. Georgia's defense adjusted to what we were doing offensively and we had no answer. We more or less beat our head against a wall and went down with a whimper.
Arnold is not an SEC QB. How much did we spend on him?
Our playcalling is stale and we make zero adjustments.
Our line is an undisciplined mess.
Freeze was a lazy hire by people who don't know how to identify coaching talent and don't have any feel of where the game is. That was also the story with Harsin and with how long we hung on with Gus. We might as well give Durkin a shot because otherwise we'll hire some fading re-tread like Sweeney and rinse-repeat. I used to shrug off the comments about us becoming the next to repeat UT's years in the wilderness but from what I see, we may well eclipse their era of mediocrity.

So crazy how many time this happened to us with Gus (especially vs UGA) and here we are again. Almost feels like these defensive minded coaches are willing to take a gut punch against coaches like Freeze and Gus because they know they can completely kill it in the second half and Auburn will never have an adjustment.

Jackson Arnold is also not good, at all. Had two chances for huge game changing plays in the second half and missed both badly

Just now listened to his entire post game press conference comments, and he sounded like a completely pu$$y-whipped, cuckold, whining b!tch
No fire, no emotion…just utterly defeated, downtrodden, and drained.

Missed a TD to Coleman in 1st half if he hits him in stride, it was a TD but he still should never have fumbled, had Singleton in the second half. Had Perry Thompson running wide and missed him. 4th down to Howard was just abysmal.
End of the day Hugh can’t keep having his players just continue to fail at making plays, but my god what was left on the table when we actually did call good things.

On the throw to Singleton, it looked like he got hit as he threw, or threw before he wanted to, or something to that effect. I was watching his drop back, and it look like he didn’t set and throw for whatever reason.
Did anyone else see that?
Posted on 10/11/25 at 11:11 pm to Placekicker
Thing is when he’s that wide open it doesn’t even have to be a great throw
Posted on 10/11/25 at 11:12 pm to Placekicker
He definitely got hit. It was a tough throw for sure, not discounting that. Have to hit that though. Just have to, to win games. Just one of those we needed to hit. Not all of them. But we missed them all.

He actually had 4: the pass to Coleman that was short when Cam was 3 steps ahead of the thUGA defender, the missed pass to Singleton, the pass to Perry that was 2 yards behind him (Perry probably scores there or at least gets it into the red zone), and the missed easy lob on 4th down (although 15 can’t catch shite).

Add the 14 yard punt to the mix

This is another officiating crew that needs to be fired now,
You do not allow either coach to decide what rules call a game. Stopping a game multiple times within minutes tells the stadium they lost control.
Smart on National TV is calling for a timeout then convinces the wings “No, I wasn’t” ghuess what coach, you made the signal, the whistle was blown. You don’t get a mulligan. The wings had to be first or second year officials. Smart ran over them.
You never ever let a coach intimidate you. This officiating crew folded. Birmingham has their piece of the puzzle as well. End the practice of stadium replay and Birmingham over site. Move the Headquarters from the overpass downtown and fire everyone in that office. Neutral city, neutral office staff.

I use to bitch a lot about Malzahn's demeanor on the sideline. He got screwed sometimes, like every coach does, and he acted like it was the end of the world. A lot of times that would be the inflection point and things would snowball and the team would fold.
Hugh (who I think sucks arse on his own) has seen more awful officiating calls than any coach I can remember, but he does the Gus thing x 1000.
The no touchdown call killed him and he showed it to the team. They knew it was over at half time based on his reaction and body language. Then the prophecy fufilled itself.
