Your comments are fricking stupid. There is literally no talent on this team. Don’t forget Gus didn’t recruit a single offensive lineman his last 2 years and Potato just didn’t recruit. This is a 3 year rebuild project. The good news - today you can use NIL and the portal to expedite the process, but it isn’t gonna happen in a single recruiting cycle.

81 was a beautiful thing to see.

How did he think that was going to work?
I tried to support him and the team, but the fact is he did not understand the necessity of constant recruiting.
Freeze gets that.

i truly believe he thought he could take the Tuberville formula and succeed at a level that would keep him safely employed until recruiting picked up - NIL pretty much destroyed that idea
then the staff/player defections happened and we were off to the races
after the investigation he said frick it, let em fire me and cut me a big check

Totally agree. I think after that happened, he realized he was not wanted

You basically did with the whole post.
The guy finished workout sets before he would acknowledge recruits in his presence.

I have a hard time believing this as he would sit home on Friday nights and attend his sons games. I think he was taking the Blue Smurf approach. We have people come in and offer them and not really work for it. I don't know if he even visited one recruit at school. I know coaches said he didn't try. So at least the BBQ gang at least were on the road recruiting. Potato gang didn't (except the couple of AU guys & maybe one or two more) the rest? yeah not so much.
