Dude was a very good Auburn coach. He actually fit for us. But continue on with the hate.
He was great. However he fricking stopped recruiting towards the end of his tenure

I never said he sucks.
He just reminds me of a crazy chick I once dated that loved the push / pull of the relationship
You know good and well there is no rhyme or reason for his volatility
Or maybe there is. Psychology majors, please opine

I agree. Which is why he was perfect for our crazy asses.
I miss those big wins.

Is it really still a big win when OK St already lost to South Alabama?

Yeah OSU is absolutely horrible. Blowing them out isn't much of a feat. Gundy has lost his mojo.

what sucks is we’ll probably end up playing UCF in a bowl again

Which is a bigger win? Beating a 3-9 Arkansas team or a 7-2 Oklahoma state? LOL.
Gus did good tonight. Give them man props.

My dude, you and I are both old school.
Being old school, YOU KNOW what all SEC teams need above all to succeed.
And good Ol' Gus just chose to totally ignore that key factor for YEARS in recruiting.
He's beyond defending, brother. Harsin took the disaster Gus left as ashes in the AU program and placed it on Ash Steroids.
The two best teams he ever had as either OC or HC had *dominating* OL's in order for his offense to work. But he either couldn't see that or didn't care.
Auburn is well and truly rid of Gus Malzahn. And that's the truth.

you can’t ignore the embarrassing, inexplicable losses just because he wins games like this one today
quote:I did, beating a top 15 by 40 points is always an achievement to be celebrated
Gus did good tonight. Give them man props.
too bad the 4-5 losses make it pretty meaningless in the long run

This board goes full retard when Gus is involved. It’s very crazy.
The same guy that gave us some of the best moments in Auburn history. LOL.
I guess I just don’t understand the constant hate. Dude treated auburn well.

Always will be a Gus fan myself.
AAC talent vs a Big 12 schedule. UCF will be fine and possibly dangerous over the next 10-15 years. They have an alumni base second to none in the south east.

I agree. His recruiting fell off because he was constantly negative recruited against. There was never a hint of scandal under him. His program had grown stale and it was time to move on...........but I will always pull for him unless he is playing our bunch.

I don't hate him, I'm just glad we're rid of him. He brought the Auburn program to its knees.
Then, after Gus, Harsin proceeded to push the Auburn program's face into the ground and grind it in.

It’s that he often frustrated everyone. He did great things every once in a while. He did inexplicable things all the time.
Grateful for 2013 and several key wins in 2017 and 2019- for sure. But I have more cuss words than high fives. The high fives were great- but ultimately it was death by a million paper cuts with him.

Good with bads my friend. Goods with bads
Same with every coach. The question always should be, do the highs out weigh the lows?
