Can we agree that QB isn’t the issue now? Not sure how anyone thought Finely was the answer out of what little we saw from him. Guy is a fricking statue back there making bad decisions.

He's a gamer but you're correct. He's a statue back there.

But I remember y’all trashing the frick out of Gatewood and hailing Bo Nix in hopes of having a “legacy” QB with the Nix name, when it was blatantly obvious Bo would never be able to carry a team.

Hold on, are you saying Gatewood is better?

If we had Gatewood we'd be scoring 50 points per game.

How many points did Gatewood score today?

Gotta love how the embarrassed sycophants keep creating diversions.

The qbs definitely need some help from the receivers. I know one of finleys incomplete passes was the drag route across the middle of the field. Hit the receiver dead in the hands and of course he drops it.

Bo and TJ aren’t the only problem but they are definitely part of it. Neither of them were ever going to be more than 2nd stringers in the SEC.

TJ got lucky on that last drive but he had drives before it that sucked. He’s not seemingly that much better than Bo.

That being said, I totally support benching Bo.

I mean, guy came in cold and once adjusted to playing, drove 98 yards to win the game. Not at you, Mike. But some of the Nix guys have spent three years fanboying for Nix with no metrics he had the ability to play QB. I saw enough of TJ to build a gameplan.

Y’all keep saying “Nix fan boys” like that’s a thing. Has anyone really talked highly of Nix since he’s been here?

All I’ve seen anyone say is Finley sucks even more than Nix. Which somehow means we’re Nix fan boys

We’ve seen more of Finley than just yesterday’s game. You’re in for a rude awakening if you’re expecting anything out of him.

Yes they have. We have even had some of you talk about Nix as a top 5 NFL prospect.

I have my reservations about that. I know Nix was named the starter over him, but Nix probably looks damn good in practice with no contact. Same as JJ did.

We. Have. Seen. Finley. Play. Before.

Hopefully he’s improved. But I’m not going to think any differently of him because of one drive where he still wasn’t all that impressive.

Search it. Also, I have a Nix career stats thread I will bump with his end of season numbers. Plenty of Nix guys in there despite his shitty career numbers.

THIS! The limited amount that we all saw Finely play yesterday, was head and shoulders above Nix. If he played better than Nix coming in cold, imagine if had started. Once Finely settled down, he was money!

He's probably been practicing against Mason's zone.
