Haha we about to retain Harsin, a statement will be made by the university how the investigation found nothing and he’s our coach, Harsin will get 10 wins next year then give Auburn the finger and go out west.

I don’t see how we can retain him and will be surprised.
40 million in payouts to the last two is probably more accurate.

Just like Bobo, Mason and Davis?

Hopefully this bungle by the boosters will cause the new president to reform the access boosters have.
Give the next guy full autonomy.

quote:From a well known Auburn poster.
The way this investigation was handled was spectacular. Claims were made by ex employees during exit interviews and confirmed by more than one employee. Councel was brought in to do an investigation and a very reputable firm handling claims such as these were brought in. Investigations covered current players, former players, current coaches, and former coaches. They were conducted in unison to reach the truth. They understood the pressing time but each person had to be interviewed.
I was under the impression the PTB were behind this and Auburn was screwing it up. I felt there was a better way to do it for Auburn but the fair way was to let the investigation run it's course and have a fair and balanced outside party handle it. This was handled no differently than if a professor had made a claim against a dean.
On social media, in the news, and other places, it made Auburn look bad. However, lives are at stake and there was enough given to do an investigation that was not for an athletic team. This was about an employee making claims against another University Employee and it being verified. This has nothing to do with Football, it has everything to do with serious issues by an employee. Again, you should be proud of Auburn. When the truth settles and comes out, you will understand. He should accept the buyout and roll on. He's just too stubborn and sheltered to understand.

Problem is I don’t think we can get the kind of coach you give that autonomy to gor a long while.

If a buyout is offered is that meaning that he did nothing fire worthy? Or is that auburn just trying to avoid court

Hoke even wrote a story about the Boosters making a case to Gougue and others to listen. Does Hoke have no connections to make that claim? Was Hoke misinformed?

No idea.
I do find it all interesting that this all started around the time Derek Mason was in the process of leaving. It lines up with some of the hinted stories coming out. Given how he left, it makes sense.
And the whole affair thing never happened.

Buyout means he did nothing to fire with cause. Meaning Harsin has leverage now and after the way he was treated you think he’s gonna take the offer if it’s not full payment?
Posted on 2/8/22 at 9:39 pm to Skyler97
Depends on how much the buyout is.
If it’s the full amount owed, then he did nothing wrong.
If it’s settled for very little money, then obviously we have a case.

Possible they could have a settled buyout for the purpose of keeping things under wraps. Like, a greatly reduced amount, but technically buy him out. Allow him to keep face.

I personally think full autonomy is a buzz phrase. .
Venables said something about Auburn’s “alignment” issues but the real issues are that we don’t hire anybody worth giving long leash to operate.
Even if we hired Venables who is to say he has a Kirby or Saban career.

The boosters were probably making their case given what’s going on behind the scenes. Like I mentioned, most of this started coming out around the time Derek Mason resigned.

I mean if this all started from an ex employee then who knows. People have posted rumors about Mason and Harsin not getting along so honestly who knows.
I do not believe Harsin will settle if they have nothing on him. He just seems like he has too much ego.

I don’t think we will ever give anyone full control.
