No, this is you either you are playing obtuse, or you're being a weasel which is typical for you.

Yes that is the entire argument I’m making and have made from the start. Glad I gave you your word of the day.

You choose to try to pivot my argument to something else because you realized you can’t win on the main point. Which is what you always do.

quote:

You made the claim that donating to NIL was enabling but you dont want to go there because that argument is beyond the left field. There is no NIL money to be cut from buyout money as well. Give it a rest.

That was a separate point I made yes.

Where do universities get all the money to pay massive buyouts? Their huge profits. By donating to NIL you are bearing the additional costs of having to pay the athletes instead of the university paying that cost. (Yes I understand they currently are not allowed to fund it themselves. You’re not understanding the bigger picture if that’s what you’re arguing). If you do not donate, they will still have to pay the athletes and the money will have to come from somewhere.

I already laid that out for you and said I wouldn’t repeat it but here I am.

Gotcha.

Yea IMO the NCAA tried to plug its ears rather than getting ahead of the thing so now they're in a pickle...

NCAAs goal from here will be to avoid calling revenue sports athletes "employees".

My guess is eventually the top league of CFB and maybe CBB (tougher here though) break away from the NCAA and have TV revenue sharing etc.

Its your argument. The only pivot is "they vs average joe" once corch brought up Auburn cannot fund NIL.

It's 34 dollars. I am guessing boosters are already donating much more for the cause and their word should be more valued than mine. If someone like Lanier can afford it then I certainly don't want to hear his bitching( which he does a lot)

If you do not donate, they will still have to pay the athletes and the money will have to come from somewhere.

I guess we are back to "why donate, someone else will." Do you want our jerseys turning into advertisements?? Yes or no.

That's the kind of shite you say when you have nothing else to add other than insults.

Dude is off the rails and has been for a while. This could have been a decent conversation but once he entered it, that option was crushed. Just like every conversation he gets involved with

He doesn't understand the points that are being made by numerous people so he just throws out insults and complete garbage.

No, the issue is you don't understand my point. Your justification for taking that 34 extra to the grave with you is your business. Be a greedy freerider. Dont complain about Texas State though you old crybaby.

Those werent shots fired btw.

I fired shots when I said I bet you're a shitty tipper.

Dude has been off the rails since Gus got fired. Complains about texas state recruiting in year one while saying our fanbase is entitled because we are historically an 8-5 program. However dont expect him to contribute with recruiting since its "not my job."

What a gigantic clusterfrick

They, average Joe, and Auburn not being able to fund NIL we’re all in my original post. So try again.

No we’re back to Auburn should use some of their profit that I already contribute to.

And then you’re going to ignore everything I’ve said and circle back to “Auburn can’t fund NIL”.

And you heavily pivoted since Corch brought up Auburn couldn't fund it.

Well, if Auburn cannot use their funds it doesnt make sense to be back at Auburn using their own profit to fund NIL. "Obtuse" It doesnt make sense for you to be talking about fans shouldnt donate unless they have filthy amounts of money just to say you dont care who donates or not either. Everything you have said is broken as frick.

Everyone here complains about the huge buyouts and coaches getting paid for not coaching. That’s the money that should be getting cut into. Not your pocket.

You fund it, you’re enabling it. Rant over.

What is being enabled?

How? I brought it up before he did. Still making same argument.

Just as expected. Either ignoring everything I’ve said or can’t comprehend and entire argument at the same time. Can only go point by point.

This is one giant circle we’re going in. You don’t get it. I’ll let you just not understand it.

Giant spending. Ever increasing costs to the consumer. Never fight on the price you pay for these things.

[There is literally nothing to get on my end. Its broken Weasel logic.

34 dollars is "giant spending" I just want to recruit. I am not trying to negotiate buying a car. I want our NIL program head and shoulders above the rest. The "dont don't contribute because youre enabling" mindset will only keep Auburn down.

Your logic of escalation of costs is absurd as well because even if youre right that we pay 34 just to put us back on the same level until costs get raised again youre still helping my argument by assuming paying 34 will get us on the same level playing field (which we are not on right now.)
