I know it is only Akron but I am so glad Gus is gone. Just so glad I do not have to sit through another Auburn game and see him on the sidelines.

It is nice to actually watch a offense and not know exactly what is going to happen.

We didn't use all of our timeouts on the first two drives

So far so good on both sides. Defense is settling in and getting comfortable

Worm is legit out most physical player lol.

Sure when he has some steam built up. He’s actually otherwise a fairly easy tackle.

Akron's head coach looks like Jarrett Stidham.

Mason definitely seems content to give up short passes and trusting his guys to close the gap and make a tackle.

No reason to get fancy with blitzes or anything when the front 4 is killing them. It’s so refreshing to see an actual pass rush again!

Agreed. I know he prefers zone to man but I also know he’s going to be as vanilla as possible today.

That is such a weird rule that you cant advance a fumble. Is that just for 4th downs?

Yes. You can still advance it but it has to be the ball carrier that advances it. So if the RB had recovered it then it would have been okay. It’s just to prevent desperation, intentional fumbles.
