Saban was the greatest and making a change the second it is needed. Freeze gets too attached to players.

even if they had lost in OT it was the right move to make
hell, even Meathead pulled our 5* QB in a game where he was struggling and put Scooter Finley in

Freeze might be the most emotionally driven head coach I’ve ever seen. Did y’all catch the post-practice interviews yesterday? He literally said he’s been calling other coaches trying to figure out how to get his players to learn how to win — that’s literally your job.
Just imagine what that does to the mindset of a group of 17–20-year-old kids hearing that from their head coach

I appreciate him rebuilding our roster. It was needed. But that fumble call vs UGA would have made me go all full Will Muschump on the refs. He should have used that as motivation. But no, he sulked and lost the game.

And is just as fast to throw them right under the bus, too.

I think the only way he gets fired now is if we want to make a move on Summerall or Franklin before Arkansas or Florida or another nice job opens up.
If the PTB don't want either of those guys then I think freeze gets another year

If you look at Freeze coaching stats and record at Auburn, he’s arguable the worst coach in school history.
Earl Brown is statistically worse, but Freeze is the worst in the better part of a century, for sure.

I thnk there's a huge upside there. I also think if the roster stayed somewhat whole he could win 8 games automatically.
Young and got some dog in him. Probably what we need instead of alter boy.
Downside would be his recruiting and ability to attract big time assistants, but winning can cure that.
More than likely headed to Arkansas, Kentucky, or UF. IMO

1) The idea that there are only two coaches in the entire country who we could or would want to hire is absurd. Lets pretend the wheels fall off and we finish with 4 wins, but they can't get either of those two guys you pulled out of your arse: you seriously think he defaults his way into a fourth season somehow LOL?
2) There is a point that Freeze can easily reach where there is no choice but to fire him. What part of this don't you understand? There is no "the PTB likes him" if he loses to Missouri, Arkansas, etc. and the fans and national media obliterate him. You don't seem to understand that at a very real point (which Freeze is currently teetering on) an embarrassing season will start to harm Auburn's national brand, in which case they will be FORCED to fire him regardless of what anyone feels. He is currently on pace to be the worst performing HC in Auburn history.

Which of his mentors do you like?
What wins really stand out?
What tenures at what programs do you like?

I keep seeing people suggest urban Meyer to penn state. Is he really getting back into coaching?

I don't think we'll catch too much grief when he's booted. Most of the country (myself included) doesn't like the guy anyway.

Eventually, CFB will adopt the NFL model where we hire a GM, then the coach works and reports to him. The HC in college shouldn't have complete control.

When can we scandalously bring Les Snead hAUME?

Earl Brown is statistically worse, but Freeze is the worst in the better part of a century, for sure.
however, he was 9-7 in SEC games over that time, compared to Freezus conference record of 5-14
