Watched John Cohen on and interview on ITAT and he referred to operating at "Autonomy 5" level. Is that some new buzz word or is that a politically correct way to say "Power 5"?

maybe, he is probably privy to info about the P5 schools breaking off from the NCAA. But I believe the NCAA in recent years has given the P5 schools more say in how they operate.

After covid and NIL, and pandering to woke scum, and not punishing Kansas after jabbing Ok St and Auburn, and letting Georgia and Bama (both sports) get away with murder, unapologetic self-governance was the only way.

I’m pretty bored. Is there a link to free access of the interview ?

Seems a bit contradictory to his statements about wanting NIL guidance from the NCAA.

Precisely. “Autonomy 5” sounds like an orchestrated and purposeful use of harbinger language. Wondering if it has found its way into the vernacular of other AD’s. Seems like the hook is being set to form a new governing body and leave the NCAA to govern the G5 and below. You can hear his frustration with them as merely a feckless bureaucratic impediment rather than being part of any solution.

They won a title they shouldn't even have been eligible for. They skated.
