Hoke insinuated Tre was looking for an NIL bag.
Also idk how anyone could argue Tre’s ceiling is higher than Aden’s

It’s not Aden over Tre. It’s Tre cashing in when he can. If Aden develops he will be getting 25-28 minutes. I know that you know that and Tre knows that.
The NIL differences between Aden and Tre are probably massive. Tre will land on his feet and may be better off for it. I’m not sure if he is an NBA guard yet but go get paid young man. Thank you for all you did for Auburn.

So if we had kept Tre instead you would have been fine with us taking a mediocre PG from the portal?

No he would have been bitching that we didn’t get a Portal PG

Some on the board will melt over anything

Damn, Tre didn’t tell the staff he was entering the portal. Hoke said the staff just found out when everyone else did.

Wow. Tampering maybe… not that I care because everyone is tampering

That’s cold blooded by Tre. Apparently he met with the staff again last week and they were under the impression he was staying.

Now I am mad as hell at Tre; we needed him tehehe

Probably saw the giant NIL bag Aden had and wondered where his was since he outplayed him all year.

I mean it's a supply and demand thing. There isn't gonna be a huge NIL bag for a low ceiling, non-flashy pg.
Hate we are losing him though because he was decently reliable at getting us into our stuff.

Then why is a guard, who is supposedly a great shooter but can't score against Yale getting a giant NIL deal? We're just handing out free money I guess.

I’m gonna let Bruce build the roster. If Bruce wants him to stay he will figure out a way to keep him. If not he will find a replacement.

Guess they think a naturally great shooter will get back to being a great shooter? Idk

Tre scored 5 points on 7 shots against Yale.
Neither did anything.

I wish him well at Troy. Let's move on and find some production
ETA:
Watching him throw up bricks at the end of the Yale game was painful.

quote:Still a whole lot more than 0 and he could still run the offense which Aden couldn't do. I don't think Tre is anymore than a good back up, but that's still better than what we got from Aden. And before someone comes with "but development" Tre is also capable of developing too.

I keep seeing people talk about his ceiling too.. I'm curious what people think is a ceiling for a guy who can maybe shoot, can't defend, can't run the offense, can't pass into the pass, can't drive, can't finish at the time, isn't fast and can't jump high.. That sounds like a low ceiling to me.

I can see Aden as a Steph Curry type of player. Obviously not of the caliber of Curry, but he has similar build and athleticism. His handles are fine. His defense got better as the year went on. He just needs to find his stroke again and we're cooking.

I just want to be clear.. Do you mean you see him as an NBA player or just used in a similar way?
