How are we 10.5 point favorites??

- We are considerably better by most predictive adv metrics (KenPom, TeamRanks, ESPN BPI)

- Home game

- Uconn is playing a game in Tucson, Arizona only ~36 hours before tip then has to fly across the country

Combine the prediction of a rare hostile home crowd, but it's still a weird margin.

He started today, so I’d guess he’s fine

Good win today...

Beat Cornell and AU is 12-1 heading into conference play.

I think 10-11 wins in SEC play is a lock for the tourney.

If we can get Purifoy and Wiley back, this is shaping up for a fun season.

Someone on the bunker is saying we are trying to get Wiley back for SEC play and Purifoy would have a one year suspension

Our recruiting class is going to be awful this year because of this mess. At one point we had 5* EJ Montgomery and a great shot at 5* Ashton Haggins. Now we have neither and 0 commits.

Except we don't really need any commits this year.

If 2019 gets screwed up tho, we have problems

As young as we are it is not critical this year to have a good recruiting class, but would have been nice.

I mean at most we will have 3 scholarships available. Kiem, Wiley, and Heron.

I have yet to watch Kentucky play this year. What’s up with them? Was their class just not what they normally pull?

Same number of 5* but almost all were outside the top 10.

There is a big difference between top 10 players and 20-30

And UK is younger than in years past, even by Cal’s standards. They don’t have the 2nd and 3rd year players who have been huge for them in past seasons (think Terrance Jones on their title team, Alex Poythress or WCS on some of their FF teams).

Respectfully disagree. We aren’t UK or Duke and pulling in prime time ready freshmen every year. We need some guys to come in develop slowly instead of being thrown into the fire. Plus losing the caliber of potential players we had lined up is a big blow no matter if we have depth for next year or not. Losing that kind of talent stings.
