He also went for a high off the glass layup which is another shot he’s gonna have to hit

We likely won’t hear anything until tomorrow. Based on how long he’s been out and what it sounds like he’s dealing with, I don’t expect to see him until next week at the earliest.

Pearl just said at his press conference no change with Powell's status.

Sucks. Sounds like this is going to be a long process for him.

I listened to a podcast with Dale Earnhardt Jr about concussions and his were a real bitch to deal with.

Powell didn't travel with the team and JLee is saying could be a while and it is "getting scary"

Man that’s awful to hear. To the point now of just hoping there are no lasting effects from it

Pretty concerning that he's been cleared to play for a week already and is still not ready.

He’s 18 days post-injury and his status has been kept under wraps. We know he tried to practice once and it went terribly. He hasn’t been present on the sideline either.

That’s not good at all. I wonder if he’s seen a specialist yet out of Birmingham, Atlanta, or Nashville.

I don't want to lose to Musselcringe twice. Especially now with them getting torched twice in a row.

I saw it posted in another thread thread that he may not return this season. It’s a rumor, but it’s out there.

Why? Surely not the concussion. Mahomes looked drunk walking off the field and already ready to play.

It’s hard to compare head injuries on an individual basis. If he’s still being held out I think it’s safe to say there’s a good reason for caution.

For the rest of the season? lol

That’s not just a concussion.

Under Anderson, Arkansas was always talented but never competitive on the road (unless at AU). It seems the same might be true for this Arkansas team.

It doesn’t help that they played arguably the two best teams in the league. Alabama is blowing the doors off of everyone right now. LSU is absurdly talented and has the leagues top scorer

Again, head injuries are strange. There could be swelling or something additionally going on. I think all we can say at this point is that it wasn’t just your standard concussion.

Post concussion symptoms can really drag out for some people. Especially vision and balance issues. It’s a real bitch

Mentioned it on the other page but Dale Earnhardt Jr had several really lengthy concussions that really limited his quality of life for long stretches of time. I’ve had a friend that had one from a soccer game and his wife had to drive him to work for months because of vertigo and dizziness.

Anyway, hope this doesn’t end his season. It’s also possible that there’s another injury, not sure we know, but concussions can certainly drag out this long or longer

I had a concussion. I developed something called Post Concussion Syndrome because of it. I would get vertigo, spinning room, nausea, migraines (I still get these several times a week) and I am a year and 14 days past my accident.

Actually, Over a year since and I still have almost daily severe headaches, several migraines a week, random pains in arm. It is rough.

I fell off my bike at age 12 and got a concussion, and for some 10-15 years afterwards I would get these sudden intense migraine-like headaches. It was weird, they would happen in a flash and disappear within a minute or two. Pain was always centered around my right eyebrow, exactly where my head hit the street.

Damn, this should be part of Lanier's IM thread where we all ended up discussing our various ailments like a bunch of nursing home patients
