I don’t think I trust the Memphis insider. Too many people including a Memphis rivals mod has CBd him to Auburn for him to still be “very confident” with his prediction.

Hooks has said the pandemic could keep him closer to home, but Memphis isn’t significantly closer to home. The irony is the pandemic seems to actually be hitting harder closer to his home.

Per the NCAA no plan to release a bracket. They are still evil and water is still wet.

LINK

See these predictions. They predict Auburn for Jalen Green as well assuming Mike Miller moves on.

NCAA will not release brackets for cancelled tournaments

This bothers me quite a bit. It couldn’t have been that difficult to put together a bracket could it?

It's the NCAA. They are incompetent.

I wish they'd just announce the field instead of a bracket.

I could see a bracket release leading to renewed pressure to have the tournament. I imagine the NCAA is trying to avoid that

Suns GM talked about how the G League season is confirmed cancelled and why they cut Harper to give him the opportunity to find a NBA deal if it kicks back up LINK

quote:

The NBA suspended its season after Wednesday night’s games, prompted by Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert’s positive test for the new coronavirus. At the same time, the NBA canceled the remaining 17 days on the G League’s regular-season calendar as well as the minor league’s playoffs.

quote:

The G League season is over,” said Phoenix general manager James Jones, the Arizona Republic reported on Saturday. “Jared’s on a one-year deal. For him to explore opportunities was something that we considered, and at the end of the day, we just thought we could help him.”

I imagine Gleague players got paid out the rest of their deal and now Harper can look for 10 day contracts

I’m not really sure how this affects our recruiting efforts for now, but I’m sure we can probably expect the late signing day to be pushed back.

Hooks on Green FWIW

This is my worry now about Jalen. Going to be very hard to convince his family to allow him to go across the nation with total unknowns regarding travel etc. Terrible terrible timing.

Well that sucks. Wonder if that means Oregon or USC have become a bigger factor, even though those are two places you wouldn't want to be right now.

Could be Stanford or Cal-Berkeley. Oregon & USC/UCLA is still a good ways away from Napa, Ca.

Oregon and Washington is being hit hard.

LA has shut down all bars, restaurants, gyms, all non esssenial places, etc and the full effects of the covid is being felt there.

USC- see LA. I don’t see how anybody can be making a push with recruiting basically shut down.
