Harper/Heron are 5/22 FG 2/13 3FG

We aren't winning a game where our PG + "best player" are shooting 23% FG, 15% 3FG

Nope. Shooting that poorly I'm amazed we are only down what we are.

That technical killed our momentum.

Pearl needs to adjust the offense to add pick and roll elements.

With Spencer/McElmore so athletic and Harper/Mitchell's driving ability, it is the ideal setup

Agreed. We did it some last game. Couple of good alley oops off it. It seems like our set is basically do a quick pick and roll to see if it works, if nothing there, Harper backs the point out and just tries to drive or dish.

Bryce may be the most hot/cold player I've ever seen. When he is on, he doesn't miss no matter what. When he is off, literally nothing goes in.

Good lord. We finished 36% from the floor as a team. 25% from 3. You can't beat anybody shooting like that.

We deserved to lose the way we finished the game, but that tech didn't help at all

Saw some improvement but damnit I am tired of losing these games

Yes I know 2 of our studs were out & 2 of our best didn't shoot well but man one of these days we have to win games like this if we actually wanna turn the corner

I understand Temple is a good team.. But when Brown/Heron/Harper are driving straight down the court to shoot a contested 3 without running some offense that shows a lack of coaching

That bugs the shite out of me, especially with the success inside AU was having. Also, AU was crashing offensive boards, if you run down and throw a 3 up, little to no chance of getting them.

His offense looks like gloridied street ball most of the time.

Part of the problem is the new guys don't know wtf they are doing

It's bad enough that Pearl is yelling at them to run a play, but multiple times this game Harper/Brown were yelling what I assume was "You move the F to the other side on this play"

Tired of the new guys excuse. In college basketball this should never apply

Oh it isn't an excuse for a P5 coach not to implement an offense

Bruce deserves shite for it. Just saying that the lack of offense is because they done know it, not because it doesn't exist

Yeah remember last year when players looked lost we we passed it off on "new guys" and "freshmen". Pearl just isn't a discinaplry or detail oriented coach. I didn't get to see temple game but I did see improvement in the previous game from last year. I saw a lot more ball movement in offense and better effort on defense. Way too early to tell but looking like a a 15 to 18 win team right now
