I don't think Purifoy, Wiley, and 3 more All-Americans could turn this ship around. I'm afraid we're going to have to start from ground zero to change the culture

Cold shooting night aside, defense has been a huge issue for Bruce’s teams. Just let these guys play their guy at this point. He hasn’t taught them to switch effectively.

Team really didn't look like they cared to be out there. Guys frequently needed to be told where to be

They are running Sprint's right now you can hear the whistle

.

Most of the switching problems were from new players

Mitchell, Dunbar, Okeke, Murray

We need an identity, we need a focus on defense and fundamentals. Right on we're basing our wins on what recruit we can land or grand transfer we can steal in the off-season. We need a system that develops players.

I won't say that after an exhibition game. He's not getting a pass from me this year tho like he did last.

I get that some of these guys are higher ranked recruits, but team defense isn’t that hard a concept. Maybe need to incorporate some guys with better fundamentals into who were recruiting. Hell, Tony Barbee had our guys playing good defense. It can be done.

I’m not going to overreact to a cold shooting night, but poor defense is something that’s been consistent the last few years.

Murray’s been here for a year now. He should know the system. Hopefully he’s just working the kinks out getting back into competitive games.

Playing scout team in practice isn't really the same thing Yes he shouldn't have thisv problem but he isn't super experienced either

Need to hire a Frank Martin type assistant

I've lost so much faith in Bruce

Well, after excitement the first two years, the shine on Bruce's apple came off for me last year.

In college basketball, you can turn a program around in a year with good coaching and good recruiting. Problem for Auburn with Bruce and his assistants is we're only getting half of that equation.

So glad I didn't witness the game last night. Sounds like there has been little improvement. Looks like we will live and die based on how hot we are from 3. I predict NIT bubble team.

I wouldn't say this. We had some success driving and getting fouled. The thing that concerns me was the finishing aspect of it and how bad we are at offensive rebounding.

So, this also begs to ask, how bad is Georgia Tech going to be this year if we supposedly beat them by double digits in a scrimmage a few weeks back?

Everyone always wins the secret scrimmage. We probably lost by 30

Our players probably cared about that game.

It was very, very clear that our players DGAF about this game

So our players don't have the awareness to see how embarrassing it is to lose to a D2 school? And if they don't, our coaches couldn't teach them?

The post-game comments from Pearl were sickening to read this morning. He should've publicly shown a little anger and disappointment

Sort of like future final 4 team Wisconsin losing to a Canadian team exhibition that year?

It isn't unreasonable that 18-20 YO kids who steamrolled Italian pro teams and GTech didn't take a D2 exhibition seriously

"Trap games" exist for a reason. Clemson almost lost to Troy last year and were losing for a large part of that year
