The amount of disrespect we receive from national media pundits regarding our schedule is quite remarkable

Yea. I don't understand why they don't quantify it by saying we have played a good schedule but we haven't played a marquee game.

This team plays hard from tip to buzzer.

Last year’s team was more artistic, but this team has toughness and chest.

Because when half of the media is from Duke, they only see two tiers of schools

St. Louis just beat 12-3 Richmond 74-58 anyone that talks shite about our schedule doesn’t know what they’re talking about

Favorite part of this team is the size and athleticism. Gets hairy when the shots don’t fall but regardless they really tire out the opponent which gives us a major advantage late

This could be said for last year's team as well. Just shows the remarkable job Bruce has done after losing such studs on the team

This team hits the glass so much better... aka is just better defensively.

Also... for a team with our size and athleticism, we do a good job of limiting turnovers.

What I like about this team vs. last years team......

Last years team was very streaky. We could get up 15 and within several minutes of game play it would be a close game again, because of turnovers and lackadaisical play. It doesn't happen as much with this team....but this team is a much better D team.

Agreed. Chuma's awakening last year made that team way better Brown, Harper, Malik, etc...all benefitted from great open looks and it helped Harper's ability to finish.

This team plays such great D...last year played good D but this year we are more versatile. On O we aren't as good, but IMO have the potential to come close to last year if Okoro and Purifoy continue to progress.

Jeff Goodman
@GoodmanHoops
Listen, I respect the hell out of what Bruce Pearl and Auburn have done. But lemme know when the Tigers beat a team that would be in the NCAA tourney (if the season ended today). It’s why I have a hard time putting them in Top 10.

Lost a lot of respect in Goodman tonight. BTW he had Auburn at 9 on 12/1.

Even against mediocre competition, it’s hard as hell to go 15-0.

The flaw with that reasoning is it’s hard to know who the hell is gonna be in the tourney.. cause every team except us keeps losing to random avg teams that we have been beating......

I think a lot of media are emboldened by the fact we have a solid schedule coming up and think they will be able to say I told you so.

And if Auburn still does well.... it’s merely “Auburn keeps winning” nothing more is said.

Until today I haven't been convinced, but our D is going to win us a bunch of games and is the difference between last year and this one. As long as Samir stays in line and healthy Auburn is gonna be good/great.
