I'll save you the trouble, our OOC opponent quality is very weak. Our end of year OOC schedule strength will be respectable only because we play some ~5 neutral/road games

Also, NC ST has a chance of going 12-8 to 14-6 in the ACC this season if they finish strong. That will be where AU will have to point for OOC

Only one of our 5 seniors played 20+ mpg last season. Our core rotation is extremely inexperienced and our bench is all FR + Jamal Johnson

That was probably Mcelmore... who doesn’t start now.

Doughty actually. Anfernee was just under 20mpg per KenPom mostly due to his 6.3 fouls per 40 average

I miss Horace Spencer a lot though. For a top ~50is recruit the kid embraced being a high energy role guy off the bench

... Also his vids w his kid were baby Yoda Leve cute AF. Guy seems like he was trying to be a good dad

Not saving me anything. I will continue to post & keep others updated on good wins or bad losses for our con & noncon opponents.

#4 Oregon goes down to Colorado and #1 Gonzaga is down at the half to Portland as the insanity of this season continues

Colorado should actually be a good team this year but keep in mind this game was at home. UC is the #1 home court advantage per KenPom right now.

Generally speaking, most of the Rocky Mt high altitude schools like Colorado and Air Force ranking home court advantages

Comfortably pulling away now. Must have just been a slow road start

The Buffs are a quality team. They were actually favored in the game by 1.5. Their only losses are to Kansas & Northern Iowa who's better than their name would appear. Buffs have quality wins over Dayton & Zona St.

We’re not that young. Four seniors in the starting lineup.

Some of those "seniors" are wildly inconsistent. Purifoy may go for 20 or may not score at all. Wiley may have a double double or miss 6 layups. Then bench has been great but our starters have to be more consistent or we'll finish 3rd or 4th in the league.

This is the case across all of college hoops. Everybody is going to have bad games. Collectively, our seniors have been great so far. Someone different steps up every night.

I remember when we played Colorado in Boulder in 2014 and got absolutely wrecked lost by like 40

From 2014-2019 seasons only about 25% of UC's reg season conference losses were at home. That's on par w UK & Ruop which is right at ~25% as well

AU has had a solid home court and our split is ~40% for reg season conf comparison.

I think there was one or two games that year where we didn't even score 40 for the whole game

KT Harrell could've been amazing if he had more help and was able to play in a real Bruce Pearl offense. Antoine Mason and Bowers were the only two other guys on that team even capable of scoring.

But the next season we only lost to Colorado by like 5 or 6. Pearl somehow put together what was a decent offense until Kareem Canty got himself kicked off the team and we had to start giving Bowers minutes at PG

Those teams were so bad haha but at times entertaining. Cim was the worst defensive 5 I’ve ever seen at Auburn. Good rebounder though.

There were times that I was certain he was missing easy shots around the bucket to pad his rebound stats

If Bowers could shoot and make layups he'd be an easy All SEC player. He had rare fat man agility And understood how to throw his weight around

Unfortunately, Bowers would do some incredible move into the lane to setup a bricked layup
