Yet people like Joseph Goodman refuse to vote us higher than Butler or SDSU because we haven’t beaten any ranked teams

Normally I would think the law of averages says they won't slip up against another mid-major after two losses, but they seem to be as pedestrian as Mississippi State right now. And Liberty ain't no joke.

Wilner is historically a weird voter but he typically has some argument and it is arguably consistent. Specifically, he said on Twitter he thinks we have a weak schedule w no elite wins and limited top Opponents.
Based on that criteria, he at least seems consistent w his rankings considering who is in his top 25 and their opponents

The ranking will take care of itself throughout conference play.
I’m not convinced we have a top 10 team but there’s a lot of writers doing mental gymnastics to keep us off their ballots
