It was an obvious tongue in cheek post. Anyone that is expecting a final four run this season is likely to be disappointed. It will hopefully be a fun team to watch as the young guys grow, but probably will be lots of frustrating games as well.

The final four isn't the goal for this team...it's make the tournament and see what happens. We don't have near the talent as last year and the most talented is all young.

Funny how these things work out. There was a short period late last year where we were 7-7 in the SEC and there was some (minor) debate over whether we'd make the tournament at all.

Yea, but we were an experienced team with an emerging NBA talent in Chuma.

Now we are an inexperienced team with the only certain NBA talent playing as a TF. I'd expect this team to do well, but struggle in conference. Making the tournament, IMO is the first goal.

Seniors are going to need to step up. They wilted tonight and were bailed out by Okoro.

Okoro’s ability to catch it at the elbow and just abuse his man for a bucket is reminding me a little of Chuma.

Agreed. This is gonna be a tough year at times. Goal should be to work through struggles and make the tourney. I think we will have some fun nights and some miserable nights come SEC play.

New play makers
No chemistry
No floor general
All 3 of these will make for some ugly basketball.

I’m happy to see that Okoro is quickly asserting himself as BMOC, but little disappointed one of our vets aren’t doing the same.

I’m sure things will be little rough this season, we all expected this, but we can still make some noise.

All these guys deferred to Jared, Bryce and Chuma down the stretch last year. They’re gonna have to learn to take over. It’s a mentality they’re gonna have to get.

Team is exactly where we thought they’d be. They look young, but with a lot of potential.

CBP teams seem to play their best in late February, early March unless decimated by injuries.

This team will find its rhythm, but it’s hard to replace a Harper.

Is the backup PG, Turbo, playing at all?

No PT tonight. BP seems more comfortable letting Samir spell J'von in a tight game.

Hasn't Turbo also been injured a little?

Yeah Turbo I wanna say was out either most of preseason or most of the summer (can't remember which) but I know Pearl said that put him behind the 8 ball a bit.

Earlier this morning, Justin Powell officially signed his NLI and is officially an Auburn Tiger. He committed early this summer on June 7th. Sharpshooter will bring scoring ability to SEC squad.

Magic are interested in DeMar DeRozan. As a Spurs fan I'm really hoping a deal happens and it includes Chuma. Popovich would turn him into a star, and at Pop's age Chuma could be one of the last guys he coaches up.

Okoro highlights from an NBA draft writer:

We are going to be lucky to get him back one more year. He’s already ready for the jump imo.

Chris Moore got a CB for Arkansas by an Arkansas writer. He announces Friday or Saturday.

Jaylin Williams decides between Auburn and Arkansas November 23rd.

We could go 0-2.
