Considering it may be more likely than not we miss the tournament at this point

Not even close to this being the case

Sloppy

We have been so unbelievably sloppy the past two games. Lazy passes. Lack of hustle by some players. Not giving 100% every play. Just been incredibly frustrating to watch the past few weeks save for a few games.

We have to win the next two no questions asked. We’ll be lucky to finish 9-9 in conference and be an 11 seed.

Not fouling so late in the game and then fouling 20 seconds later sums up this game.

This team is starting to check out. They can’t win the SEC now and nothing to really play for. They think they’re a lick for the tourney but keep losing and we are in the bubble.

Last year was nice, but the post-season was a cluster. Every other year with Bruce has been less than spectacular. He just is not that good. Hurts to say that but the truth is the truth.

I don’t want to hear about his great recruiting because these players don’t look like top talent.

Sad part is I don’t think Harper meant to foul

Most of them are 3 stars and JUCOs/transfers. This past class is the most talented Bruce has brought in.

Still frustrating to see us make bone headed plays.

Harper has to stop dominating the ball when he’s getting doubled. He’s a damn PG play like one.

You’re so fickle. You expected him to do shite the first 2-3 years? You can hold tonight and how this team has performed lately against him. But to act like he is responsible for the bullshite he inherited is laughable at best.

Tonight sucked. But you can’t say we don’t have talent when we played Duke to a 6 point game, Kentucky down to the wire, etc.

As much as you don’t want to hear it, recruiting is part of the game and it matters. You can’t discredit him for that just because the team is in a funk

Maybe time to make some staff changes. There’s no reason for Bruce to be getting outcoached as much as he has this year. This team has experience and we look completely lost at times. Almost all the time on the road.

Every game is the same, except for that ridiculous shooting start at LSU. We get down spend the whole game trying to get back in it, get back in it and then can’t make a play down the stretch. Doesn’t matter who we play. So sloppy. I don’t know what we are if or when Wiley ever gets healthy but we just aren’t very good without him.

The team is poorly constructed. We have nobody who consistently finishes at the rim. Only Chuma does with any consistency.

We have no inside presence. Wiley wouldn’t play for many teams.

Our guards can shoot but they play soft when played physical.

Our defense isn’t great.

It doesn’t take 2-3 years to build a basketball program. See Rick Barnes. I am done making excuses for Bruce. I know we can’t get better, but I’m not gonna sit around and live in the fantasyland that we are not horribly coached and the biggest disappointment in all of college basketball.

It takes that long or longer when you’re left with what Barbee left. I don’t fault Bruce a bit for how long it took. I do think he’s done a flat out terrible job this year coaching though.

In Bruce’s defense:
-he’s got Doughty playing the 3. I don’t like him at the 3 as he can’t play bigger. Can’t bash the recruiting results when the team is still not formidable.
-- Lost a year of recruiting due to Person.
- Mclemore and Wiley are our only bigs and they have been either injury prone or cannot shake an injury and mind fricked the whole year.
-Style of play helps win games despite some of our deficiencies

To keep it fair to the haters:
- UAB and Ole Miss bringing the game to a screeching halt seems to cause huge problems.
-His PG has 5+ TOs in two straight games and the team has regressed fundamentally.
- Cannot get over the hump: in many games we have stormed back and cut it to one possession multiple times just to let the win slip through our grasp.

Many moons ago, a very wise man said this:

”But we don’t have any big men!”

Somebody in charge of, say, the Auburn men’s basketball team should probably do something about that.

Wow Comparing Auburn and Tennessee basketball is the equivalent of Vandy and LSU football. Bruce inherited a team full of guys that would basically be walk ons at every other school in the conference and had to bring in a ton of JUCOs and transfers as a result.

I’m all for criticizing things this team can improve on, but don’t even try to act like what Bruce has done so far is nothing short of a miracle.
