they'd be identical if South Carolina was as long as UK and deep as UK but they're not

I think Pearl taking a GT big, is based on if this big can move well, and flow with the fast paced offense he likes.

If the big men are clunkers, I don't see Pearl wanting them, except as backups, which GTs don't want.

Am I understanding Pearl's offensive player wants?

How dare you call it "testing the market" in times like these..

Need the bigs to move well as much if not more for his pressing D, but your overall theme looks good.

My bad, I thought we were both assuming Akingbola is a lock to reclassify. Classic mixup

I would imagine the dream is to get one of Purifoy/Wiley back and RS Akingbola but make him available for emergency/injury

I think both McElmore + Spencer will try to add about 10lb this off-season. If they do that, we shouldn't have a TAMU type problem. Not ideal matchup but we could handle bigger teams

Whatever happened to Montgomery? I know he de committed but after the year we are having no chance at getting him back? Are we looking at a slight rebuild after next season?. Everyone seems to imply the year after next is a big recruiting year but we don't seem to be in on as many big fish as I thought looking at 247. Who do we lead for?

You could take any two or maybe even three guys off of next years team as long as they don't play the same position and I would be very confident in next years team.

Freakin' awesome what Pearl has built.

Montgomery would fit perfectly at the 5 with this team but it's common consensus that we aren't even in the running

I'd obviously take him if we could get him, but it isn't the worst thing in the world. If Anfernee + McElmore each put on ~10lb and make similar development jumps this offseason, our center position will won't be a weakness

I'd also keep an eye out on Chuma getting minutes at the 5 in the years to come. He needs some S&C work in the offseason to rework his body comp + add strength, but he has the size/potential to be a small team 5

Well, you were right about Chuma getting minutes at the 5. Our front court in the preseason looked too crowded. Now we have 3 guys for 2 positions.

So we better hope someone steps up vs Tennessee, they have a cakewalk finish to the schedule. We are at risk of not even splitting it now

Yep. I think this injury is going to be devastating to us. AM brought so much intensity and emotion to the lineup. I’m thinking we beat USC at home, lose to UF and Ark, and 50/50 against Bama. We are going to slip to 3 seed IMO.

The Bama game is the season. Have a chance vs Florida.

Montgomery is not coming and it has little to do with the FBI. family member (sister) had a problem at Auburn in another sport.
