I love Pearl, but these quotes rubbed me the wrong way for sure.

Pearl was right to not talk to them about coaches business decisions.

He needed them to focus on their game.

Nothing there…

My gripe is even talking about it at all. Just say Auburn is where I want to be, don't make it about money in the public sphere. Auburn took the chance, paid him well, then paid him more as appreciation.

Like I said, love the guy, just didn't expect his wording to come out like that.

How it should have been planned out for him to say:

I built my forever home on Lake Martin, this is where I want to be. I came here to build a program that's respected by the likes of Kentucky. We've done that. Auburn graciously extended my contract, and I feel blessed to be able to call Auburn my forever home.

Now let's go get a national championship.

It is about money. To everyone. The school, the coaches, the players...it's about money.

You made something out of nothing.

All that day was positive, and you had to find an issue with his comments....

I have an uneasy feeling about tomorrow probably because it's bama and we've kinda been on the brink of a loss.

I'm apprehensive too but more because we seem to start slow and Bama looked good the other night. I'm just happy it's a home game.

The only thing that worries me about bama is their scoring %.
Which bama team will show up, the georgia bama or the baylor bama?

I heard renovating again and reduced capacity. So is it going to be completely new or slap another facelift on it

The renderings look like the gym will be brand spanking new. They might tear it down to start over.

You should like. AU basketball is better off when Bama also has a strong program.

They do have a reasonably strong program. Jury is still out on Oats, but they're already buying top 5 classes with that toilet bowl atmosphere and culture, and they constantly poke fun at ours. Don't like. We know what their idea of "competing" is, while at the same time making accusations against Auburn that aren't backed up with recruiting that's way above the program and coach.
