Did I completely miss the evaluation on him being a dual threat QB? I thought/read/heard that he was a DT QB. Also, if he is not a DT QB, and it appears that he is not, why run a read option formation? There is NO reason for a defensive end to respect the "option" aspect. We have seen and are going to see for the rest of the year, the end attacking the mesh point on these BS play calls.

I think the kid is a great QB and I'm glad to have him, but as usual, we are seeing the fitting of a square peg into a round hole with scheming.

That's why they've given him a pass option to dump to the wr on a few plays. He does need to keep it once or twice from now on

I agree. I am certainly NOT saying he is the problem. The problem is obvious and need not be said again. Again, I am tickled to death that we have him. He is an NFL caliber QB. I just wish we could take his talent and use it effectively.

I am baffled by why he never keeps the ball on a read option (assuming any are ever called). He may have done once or twice all season.

He's got to be at least as good a runner as SW, and he ripped off several pretty good runs last year; 40+ yards against Arky.

Fricking Elting did on us and got 9 yards on their second TD drive; every one of our defenders went for the RB.

The only thing that makes sense is that they are afraid of getting him hurt, but he's more likely to get hurt on a sack that a running plan, IMHO.

He probably doesn't have the option to keep. Probably predetermined like everything else

Stidham is a complete stud. NFL arm talent. He is playing in a JV offense with a broken o-line. He still only has around 10 career starts.

I pray we get a competent coaching staff and he will shine, I promise.

Its a damn shame he does not get to throw a PA pass on 1st down in the second half of most games.

My 6 year old's flag football team had more pass routes than AU's offense. It is amazing how a couple of slant passes, maybe JUST MAYBE, can open up the outside passing lanes. I guess this thread will qualify as my "melt". I have never melted on the rant (have lurked for years and post occasionally) but I, along with many of you, are done with this JV offense.

I hope we can hold on to Stidham and he doesn't transfer. He has to be second guessing that move at this point.

Every thing I've ever seen has him listed as dual threat. He's reported to have 4.6 speed (not with AU stopwatch either).

I think hes more athletic than White or JJ, but he's certainly no Nick Marshall either.
