If you think we’ll actually fire Gus then fine.
Nah, that'd be giving AU'Football way too much credit. I've always thought it would take more than one year from a message board.

This shite came from way up the ladder, even above what Leath stepped in, and these PTB appear to have overextended their hand to the point of being unwilling to wash it away.

Gus won’t ever fully turn it over to an OC, that whole idea is dumb and has been explored before with Lindsay.

You really think Lindsey was given free reign of the offense? Sure the “idea” has been explored but we all know it hasn’t actually happened.

I wish Steele would explain to Gus, how a good defensive coordinator with decent talent will stop Gus's offense. All of the pulls and traps are meaningless (if not detrimental) when the defenders maintain gap integrity. And,without a running game, our passing attack is just too predictable and inconsistent. Against better teams, we aren't fooling anyone, anymore. Sometimes you just have to straight up block the guy in front of you. Keep the motion, get rid of some unnecessary, unproductive line pulls and traps.

No, I know he wasn’t given free reign, but Gus won’t not be involved. He’s not changing. What is AU supposed to do, tell him he can’t meddle and do his job?

You’re right. He has AU by the balls. He would probably just tell AU to frick off and fire me if you don’t want me in the offense. Looks like another case of Auburn screwed Auburn.
