Yep, at the end of the day our boys played a hell of a game. That defense was fire.

The defender hit his arm and no matter if he was intentionally grounding or not they would have said his throwing motion was interferes with.
I missed that. I saw the defender at his legs

If Bobo doesn't return, my list is:
Jeff Grimes (Baylor)
Zak Hill (Arizona St)
Andy Ludwig (Utah)
I'm still convinced Schmedding is the DC if Mason leaves.
I think Briles could be lured away from Arkansas

Would Briles mesh with Harsin in terms of offensive philosophy? Serious question, I don't really know.

I don’t really know. I do know Briles >>> Bobo though

lol at people wanting to fire Mason after the performance the D just put on.

If a change is made, possibly Zak Hill or Kiesau would be my guess.

Would love to have Grimes back loading up on 4* and 5* Olinemen.

Has Bobo been fired yet? Noon presser too much to ask for?
Posted on 11/28/21 at 12:19 pm to PubeCrab
Is Bobo really going to get fired or is this internet speculation? The guy was calling plays for a backup QB on one leg. What were y’all‘s expectations in the second half?

Maybe put in another qb with two good legs? One capable of making a forward pass? Not running a toss sweep into the short side of the field? Remind me again how many points Auburn scored in the 2nd half of the last 5 games… if you don’t get fired for that, then I’m not sure what it takes.

Who? If Dematrius Davis didn’t play then that probably means he wasn’t going to help us. JMO

Sure I suppose he could get fired for that. We certainly sat on leads too much going all the way back to… Ole Miss??

His first 3 quarters was good ball. He shouldn’t get fired for this game either. But the last quarter was clearly a regression back to what we were used to seeing.
I was there and watching the sidelines during that intense 4th quarter.
This is what happened: The Ends particular were gassed. I watched 29 and 99 power drive play after play, and it took a toll.
Mason, I saw substitute the best he could with Height, and whoever was left.
But once Alabama got off of the goalline and start to move the ball, I could see some plays that #29 just stood there and nothing to press on each passing down.
I saw the trainer or an assistant come out to TD and take his helmet off, and mentally yell at him and grab his jersey to pump him up mentally, and I could see TD make a great rush, and cause the QB to throw early or misfire, but on the next play he just didn't have the energy.
Mason didn't stop the rush, but at times he went to a 3 man rush to save them.
That's why we couldn't sack him towards the end of the 4th...
Just telling you what I saw...

Well it was BoBo and I tend to agree.

All of this should have told Coach to go for two after the TD in first OT.

In fairness, any DC in the country not going to prevent defence with the opponent on their own two yard line, no timeouts and about a minute and a half left should be fired on the spot.
ETA: Those who downvotes only do so due to knowing the outcome.
