Unfortunately, PM is probably the most photographed Auburn sports writer.

So talked the players mom I know again, she said 5 or 6 more players are thinking of leaving. Some walk ons, some scholly. Reasons are the coaching staff. Also said the are trying to force a lot of players to move back on campus, even ones with kids or wives and players are not liking it. Few other things mentioned, nothing really noteworthy. I'll see her again after the parents meeting for a day.
Eta, also said players were told to keep team meeting and other discussions hush hush.

The ones leaving don't like being held accountable is my guess. Must hate hard work and hope they do the team a favor. Not sure I agree with the marrieds having to move back on campus.
Is momma's boy one of the ones thinking of leaving?

She give any specifics why? I know you mentioned the housing stuff but I am curious what it is that some of the guys don't like. Hopefully it is the fact that they are getting after them and some don't like it but curious of there is a specific reason

Good I hope those who do not want to work hard can hit the bricks. The married players should be able to live where they want.

Which players are married?
Posted on 3/28/13 at 12:36 pm to TTsTowel
I wasn't even aware that any of our players were married.
And there will always be guys that don't like a new coaching staff. I just hope none of them are guys that could actually contribute.

I asked if it was because of the change of pace and harder working out. She didnt think so. said most are used to it over their careers. she didnt really go into it too much, and I didnt push too hard

now she is hearing this from her son, it could also be baby mommas, not sure.
I didnt push too hard, because I wanted to get the better info after the parent meeting.

NYC is right that they are trying to force everyone into the dorms. Some guys alreafy have leases signed off campus though.
People talk a lot about transferring but a lot of smoke and complaints not much action from what I heard. Said there probably will be a few transfers but didnt mention names.
EF has been gone for awhile and said he had the worst attitude on the team. Then said he wad the most athletic person on defence and he is a wasting his talent if he doesnt fix stuff
Said that Marshall is brought in to start and everyone knows it at QB position

Good stuff. I like what the coaches are doing. This team needs this type of discipline until they prove they are mature enough.

Yeahhh, that's pretty obvious when the coaching staff signs a juco guy that's a perfect match for the "new" offense. Maybe it will make the other guys work harder though.

Thanks for passing that along.
Teams usually have players that talk about getting out. Every office has those people. It's not all together unusual so I wouldn't say it's a good or bad thing. We should continue to see scattered defections until Fall. Nothing drastic.

Wallace is the next Kodi Burns - a qb with more leadership ability and heart than talent. Hope GM finds a use for him.
