Considering KF threw more INT's than TD's last year, this will be an improvement

Guy was an int machine in JUCO. In the SEC he will have even tighter windows to throw into. If his accuracy and decision making is not drastically improved, he will not be an SEC QB.
Holy frick...

I just broke this down 2 days ago. Some people need to actually look at situations he was put in instead of looking at the total and jumping to some dumbass conclusion as if there aren't multiple factors that effect college football results and statistics.

And if you think his INT rate was bad, Wallace and Frazier weren't any better.

Marshall averaged 1 INT every 17.2 attempts.
Frazier averaged 1 INT every 14.5 attempts.
Wallace averaged 1 INT every 20 attempts.

You take away the scrub teams Wallace played against (New Mexico State & Alabama A&M), and he averaged 1 INT every 15.3 attempts.

Now, looking at yds/attempt is another story.

Marshall averaged 10.1 ypa.
Frazier averaged 6.5 ypa.
Wallace averaged 9.0 ypa. Without the scrubs, and it drops to 8.4 ypa.

Wallace threw 2 TDs in 7 conference games. 2 TDs in 2 non-conference games.
Frazier threw 0 TDs in 5 conference games. 2 TDs in 4 non-conference games.
Marshall threw 18 TDs in 11 games. That's 3 times more than our two QBs combined with 1 less game. He also added in another 19 TDs on the ground.

quote:

Sling it around all you want. The fact you throw just as many ints as tds means there is a problem regardless.
You do realize our other two QBs on the roster went 2-8 & 4-4 on TD:INT ratio, right?

As it has been stressed countless times, his JUCO team sucked balls and it wasn't uncommon for them to give up around 80 points... in one game... to other JUCO teams. Their defense averaged giving up like 49 points or something like that. He was constantly put in bad situations where he had no choice but to sling it around.

This certianly mitigates it, but i don't think it completely eliminates conerns over ints.

I can only assume you missed the part where I said I hope he is the starter from the beginning.

And if you think he does not need to improve to be able to win for us in the SEC, WTF is wrong with you?

@JHokanson 7m

#Auburn WR Jaylon Denson says the key to the receivers becoming consistent playmakers is "discipline". Big emphasis by Dameyune Craig.

Demetruce McNeal and Robenson Therezie missed practice for personal reasons, Malzahn expects them back Friday. Melvin Ray's banged up.

Therezie's daughter was born, which is why he missed.

Can we just have a big bowl of condoms in the player lounge for these guys?

You left out the part where he's an INT machine, needs DRASTIC improvement, needs to fix his problems in a HURRY.

OH, and Wallace could end up being the guy because of the above mentioned. Even though Wallace went 2-3 on TD:INT in the SEC and averaged one every 15 pass attempts.

I think all our players need to improve. When did I say I didn't think he did? Link it up for me boss.

It's people like you that blow the 20 INTs way out of proportion. When your team is down 42-13 in the first half, and you throw an INT trying to force something with 20 seconds left, I truly don't give a shite. When you throw 2 more INTs in that game and your defense gives up 84 points, again, I don't give a frick. When you're losing 56-42 in the 3rd quarter, an INT is the least amount of my concern. When your defense surrenders another TD after that bringing that total to 63, forcing throws is the only thing to do, and again, an INT doesn't mean shite to me.

He threw a lot of pics. Int machine. He is going to have to improve a LOT and in a HURRY. He wasn't here for spring training and will not have much time to put it all together.

Everything I said is accurate. I do not know why the frick you want to fight about it. I think you have already made up your mind he should be the starter when he has not even set foot on campus or taken a single damn snap as a D-1 qb. Ridiculous.

Well, by that logic throw out the fact he threw for over 3,000 yards and had a bunch of TDs as well since he was always having to throw and come from behind and take lots of chances. Bound to accumulate some decent numbers in that case.

See how that works?

Get a grip and take a wait and see approach on the qb situation.

It is going to take a couple months to get used to his increased athleticism and flexibility that comes with an improved body. I don't expect to hear much from him till a couple games into the season. He is going to be a beast when all this shite clicks for him.

This is going to be an obscure comparison but he sounds like Wayne Dickens from the 2004 team who played in the NFL for awhile. Just incredibly athletic and can move for a guy who is 300+ pounds

I like how people try to be optimistic by sugar coating the shite out of everything.

I'm talking about Marshall, and I don't care what kind of situation he was put in.

Marshall averaged 1 INT every 17.2 attempts. Frazier averaged 1 INT every 14.5 attempts. Wallace averaged 1 INT every 20 attempts.

We'll lose 10 games if our QB production is anywhere near this for any QB.

Well. Let's be fair here. We only lost 9 games with that production last year. So there's still hope!

So are we going to lose to Western Carolina, Arkansas State, or Florida Atlantic?

Guess you're talking to me? NICE, Buddy!

I'm just going into the season with lowered expectations until I have reason to raise them. We weren't very good last year, remember?
