I guess comparing it to last year makes it seem decent. LSU was also a national championship team with a D-line made up of future draft picks and we were young on that line too. Yeah you gotta be able to compete with them in the SEC but still asking a lot for an experienced line. UGA, Bama, LSU that year on a whole different level up front.. all experienced and all playing with a chip on their shoulder against defending national champs.

All things considered that line could've been a train wreck and they played decent enough to give us 8 wins.

Young wasn't here and Robinson redshirted that year. Not sure you have the right season?

Few changes on defense today. Ryan Smith working at star, T.J. Davis working at safety

Same O-line working today that has been from the start: LT Robinson, LG Diamond, C Dismukes, RG Slade, RT Miller.

At KR today: Mason, Holsey, Jones, Louis, Grant

At PR today: Reed, Bray, Mincy, Jones

Melvin Ray and Sammie Coates catching a lot of screens and slants from both QB's. All 3 rb's working on screen passes.

Elijah Daniel is there again.

Hooray for slants

Did Malzahn run the slant at Auburn the first time around?

You realize Daniel Pond took a year off and is trying to get back on the team/isnt on right now right so that isnt him?

Also, he is white. So clearly that isn't him

Roster

It's Andrew Williams. Walkon RB.

Actual Spring Roster

And just a little hint, offense wears blue, defense wears white. A LB wouldn't be wearing a blue jersey.

Gabe Wright looks like he's in great shape. There's actually some definition to his arms, unlike the chubby arms he's had the past 2 years. It's good to see Melvin Ray looking like he may be a contributor too.

I hope I'm not getting ahead of myself, but I feel pretty good about this team and coaching staff. I just feel like there's so much more on-field discipline and attention to detail with these new coaches. I think they're going to be much more mentally tough just due to how Malzahn runs his practices. There is no standing around and waiting and letting your mind wander. You have to be dialed in the whole time or you'll be left behind. Same goes for the new S&C coach. It sounds like he has really changed some of them already.

I hope by next year that gut starts getting smaller and he replaces that weight with muscle weight

Tyler Nero looking good damn fit

If we plan to keep him at DT and he just keeps adding muscle/staying in shape like this he is going to be a freak
