Biggest question marks are at offensive tackle and wide receiver, IMO.

That would be my ideal starting/rotation. It would be the most star power/talent we've fielded since probably the 2004 season (if not more).

Stop what? I didn't say we'd play like 2004. We lack the coaches. But that is the most highly rated players we've had across the board.

WR: NCM
WR: Marcus Davis
WR: Tony Stevens
TE: Landon Rice
LT: Robert Leff

We'll end up playing about 6-7 WR in rotation IMO. I think Davis' PT may dwindle and Jason Smith, Ryan Davis and Eli Stove would all be candidates to take some of that PT. I love Marcus Davis, but he doesn't strike me as a candidate to take it all the way very often.

DE: Lawson
DE: Cowart
DT: Adams
DT: Lawrence
LB Holland (could play buck in 3-4 also)
LB TJ Neal
MLB Williams
CB Davis
CB Dean
NB Ford
FS Ford/Roberts
SS Mathews

I can agree with that. Only caveats are that Slayton is perfect for our X position but the X usually has stone hands and I don't see Cowart as a SDE.

He is too fat to be anything different For real though, I have Paul James/Cowart as the WDE and Carl Lawson as a SDE who can get after it

I think Slayton will be the #2 at the X and eventually overtake Stevens when he inevitably is a disappointment. I just think he has a legit shot at competing at the Z with Smith too

On paper, that defense looks nasty. Can we please live up to the hype? Its been 9 years since we fielded a top 25 D.

Half this board were vigorously fapping when he was listed at 280 lbs last season. Now they see why that was an issue.

Same dumbasses that screamed "pass the ball" during the 2013 season.

Defensive ends that weigh 280 really isn't that big of a deal. Especially in the 4-3. I'm pretty sure Julius Peppers was pushing 300 pounds.

Very few did. Most said they wanted him around 260 and Meta refused to believe he weighed 280

Meta arguing about Cowart's actual weight + others saying they want him at 280.

First post about Cowart's weight

Man it's funny how much recruiting changes over a cycle. On the next page here's what E was posting from AUC

quote:

AUC notes

-Most analysts feel AU is team to beat for 4* OL Landon Dickerson
-AU staff likes where we stand

-AUC likes AU's chances of getting Lowell Narcisse when he commits July 27
-AU staff confidence is high

-AU and Michigan still stand out privately for Rashan Gary
-Gary's former HS coach is now on the recruiting staff at Michigan
-mom is pumping Gary wants to play in the SEC
-will visit again next week as apart of another SEC tour

-Bama trending with Jawon Pass

-AU staff feel we have legit shots at Kyle Davis and Nate Craig Meyers

-Big time prospects Trayvon Mullen & Bin Victor visit AU later this week
-staff feels we are very much in it for Mullen
-recruiting intel says FSU/LSU likely teams to beat though
-work to do with Victor

-FSU biggest threat for Calvin Ashley and it will be a fight
-will visit both schools this month and the AU visit is an overnight one
-AU staff is optimistic on holding him

-AU is making up ground to UGA & UT for WR/CB Mecole Hardman

-AU not a factor for 4* Safety Nigel Warrior

Okay then, so he was pushing 300 pounds. Thanks for confirming. If y'all are claiming a 265 pound DE is necessary to be elite, then Julius doesn't fit. So is it weight or composition that y'all are getting worked up about?
