Our special teams units helped pull things out yesterday.

I agree. Thank God Gus doesn't have anything to do with punters.

Well at least we have a good story for recruiting at that position. When you come to Auburn you will punt and punt and punt and punt.

Still mind boggling.

I can understand using Marshall. He did punt last year, so coaches were giving him an opportunity to keep the job.

But after 1 bad punt, they went quickly to Siposs, so they handled it as well as expected.

If it was obvious in practice Siposs was better that is frustrating to players. Coaches preach all the time about playing the best guys, but when coaches play guys they are more comfortable with the better plays often become frustrated...that's how coaches lose locker rooms.

I know Siposs being from another country probably changes the dynamic, but I do believe it is an issue throughout our offensive unit and special teams. Who makes those decisions to play what players on those units?

For all we know Siposs had an injury and he wasn’t going to play unless Marshal started sucking. And it took a few games for Siposs to really get into the swing of things.

Good reminder that we don’t have all of the facts from the couch

I know we scratch our heads when we see what we see on the field, but the coaches think differently from practice.

I can remember when K. irons showed he was a quality back, in the spring, but when the season started CTT started someone else against GT and we were terrible running the ball, then they finally inserted KI and he instantly showed he should have been the starter. But coaches probably didn't think he was a good blocking back..and held him back unfortunately.
