Who goes into the draft? And if so what round do you predict?

Schwartz - 2nd
McCreary - late 2nd early 3rd
Smoke - 4th
Tutt - UDFA
Newkirk -UDFA
Truesdell - UDFA
Big Kat - no clue

Possible but should stay
Sherwood - 4th if he goes if he stays he will go next year in the 1st or 2nd round
Seth - 5th, next year could move into 2nd or 3rd
Zakoby - 5th could go in the 2nd round if he keeps his speed and puts on 12 lbs of muscle

Reading this board, it’s a wonder if we’ll have enough players next year to field a team

We will have plenty. Like I said in the recruiting thread this isn't a rebuild. The team wasn't a dumpster fire. There is talent on the squad we just need to fill some holes just like every team every year has to. The problem is the 2 biggest holes in my opinion weren't addressed in the early signing period. WR and OL.

We tend to be a negative bunch

Remember Ruggs went before Juedy, Lamb, and Jefferson in last years draft. That should tell you something about what the NFL thinks about speed.

I do agree with you there. No reason for much of a drop off.

Getting off track of the intentions of the thread but it all depends on how quickly Bo can pick up what the new staff is installing and if he gets spring practice and such.

Under Gus the reads were a numbers game. Easy presnap read on coverage. In the run game it was the same and was generally a check with me on what side to run.

The new offense will be more about leverage in numbers, motion, and sets. Similar but different and presnap and post snap reads. More reads on the safeties, manipulating the safeties, and timing.

1. Ruggs was a lot better than Schwartz
2. Ruggs didn’t have that great of a year. So teams might be a little more hesitant trying to get a Tyreek Hill part 2 again
3. Schwartz doesn’t have a lot of wiggle. He’s too stiff.

Ruggs went first of WRs. I'm saying Schwartz would go in the 2nd round. That could be anywhere from about 7-13th in WRs selected.

I think Schwartz would have to blow people away with his speed to go 2nd round. He is fast but he hasn't been particularly explosive. He has 11.8 YPC vs 18.6 for Ruggs his draft year

I agree with you here

Disagree here. His YPC is so much less because most of his catches are behind the LOS.

I agree he isn't explosive. Not sure he has any intentions on becoming explosive either. He also isn't a short guy and weighs less then 180. If he wants to be a true WR then he needs to work on explosiveness and strength. It may hurt his 40 by .1 second but either you are a sprinter or you're a WR. Still speed sells in the NFL and I think if he were to declare he'd go in the 2nd round based on that speed.

Speaking as a coach and most all coaches think this way. Give me talent I can't teach like speed, and I'll teach the player what I need them to do.

I'm sorry I made you hold my pocket the other day but seriously I'm not gay.

Sorry my presence intimidates you so much. Just ignore my posts. It's not that hard.

Would probably serve Ant best if he skipped 40 at the combine and let the Auburn home cooking do its job. After all he really will have to blow people away because expectations will already be sky high .

ANT had some good receptions...Mainly from the Sammie Coates variety, but I don’t think he ever proved himself as a true receiver.

I'd run the 40 if he can run a 4.2? something. I'd skip the bench. no clue but he may not be able to bench 225.

You never know this year might not be a combine.

He had some nice comeback routes this year as well and his hands improved. Still will stick with my second round grade. If he leaves.

McCreary for me has the best chance for big move. He's criminally underrated.
