The boosters are the problem. They were the problem at our biggest rivals UA and UGA, but the head coaches told them to frick off. That is why both of their programs are so far ahead of ours.

Well when you're bringing in the #1 recruiting classes and running through the league in your second year you can afford to tell them to F off. When you have lost 6 of 8 and couldn't recruit a virgin to a whorehouse you don't quite have that leverage.

UGA is/was a sleeping giant all it took was a no holds barred recruiter to come in there.

Didn't we have Kirby Smart on the hook but went with Malzahn. Good times. Auburn had a photo copy lined up.

Not exactly accurate. Kirby didnt want the job because he knows the Auburn frickery that happens.

Man I was only defending Harsin then because some of the accusations were bullshite, but also I believe any coach should at least get a full season with at least some of his own recruits, now it's just discombobulated, and not worth defending. We should let the new coach Christen the new facility, before Harsin.

My silver lining is we can somehow still get an SEC title, but the odds are greatly against. 4 turnovers against a good team ain't getting anyone a win

This is a reasonable analysis. Harsin wasn’t the greatest fit, but he didn’t deserve the shady character assassination attempt in the off-season. It didn’t work, but it did damage recruiting even more and now every commentator during a game brings it up. After todays embarrassment, Harsin is a lame duck, but he doesn’t deserve all the blame. Hire a damn athletics director and let him do his fricking job.

Im asking because I was busy. Did we find out that the affair thing was bogus? Is that what you are referring to?

Yes, that was bogus. As well as the other allegations of racism that were bandied about.

God I hope the boosters are on a plane tonight to talk to coaches. Frick Harsin’s feeling. Complete fraud and hasn’t done shite for Auburn

Well, if you want to keep getting what you’re getting, keep doing what you’re doing. I don’t think Harsin is the answer either, but damn……name one proven winning coach that would come to this dumpster fire?? I’ll answer for you, there isn’t one. Not. One. Why the hell do you think Harsin is here now? He wasn’t the first choice, or second, or third. He was the best we could get after the way the Gus deal was so messed up. If they fire Harsin, we gonna get Neal Brown or someone just like him.

Last silver lining, if Auburn does beat a surging SEC team, we can take them out of the top 4 maybe.

LOL. No.

Take the boosters out of the equation, and you're going to get a Tyrone Willingham via some search committee.

No - that’s not correct. Kirby may have been concerned with Auburn frickery and may have been planning to jump to UGA all along, but he was absolutely prepared to take the AU job. He thought he had it and even bought an auburn tie for the presser. He was blindsided when Gus got the hire.

I don’t ever have intel, but I actually have a pretty good Kirby source - his in-laws live next door lol

People always say this, but truth is you really don't know. Hell I didn't want him anyway. Back then Gus was winning at Arky St and I assumed Kirby would be another Muschamp.
