Yea and I took offense to it because it seemed like it was an attack on his appearance. Using material like that by other fanbases doesnt sit well.
The whole racism part completely went well over my head.

Mine too, it was a video of a bubble bursting if you hit play..
Sometimes I find things funny and I don’t think of the politics behind it. Nepo and the bubble caught my attention.
Sorry Corch, I’ll delete it

Let me guess you press the whole game and play a 2-3 zone

Did I not mention I only had 8 players. lol
I did have to play a lot of zone but you are a retard if you think there isn't a lot of zone inherently in man.
Edit: Just to be clear the league did not allow press in the first halves and I only pressed in small windows to counter their own press.

Even if that were true, which it isn't, it would still be nepotism.
Bruce waited until the transfer portal deadline had passed in order to quit, so he could lock in the players. He also waited so late to ensure we couldn't do a coaching search. While sure they could have hired Bowman as interim, you are being extremely obtuse acting like that was a likely outcome (even though making Steven interim should have been the play, or Ira if Steven refused to take it).
Bruce did all this to ensure Steven was hired, which is nepotism. The smart play would have been for Steven to go to a mid major for a couple years, Bruce has a fair well tour, and everyone wins if Steven is a decent coach. Instead everyone is put in a rough spot.

If Bruce was to bolt to Kentucky tomorrow I guarantee all the nepo deniers would give up.
Something people don't discuss enough is the amount of good guard play that happens in the SEC via transfer.
Jakobi Gillespie, Aden Holloway, Tyler Tanner, Walter Clayton, Boogie Fland, Dailyn Swain, Duke Miles (from Montgomery)
We just need the next Gillespie

I mean, as someone who has watched way too much girls basketball due to my oldest step kid being a ball is life type of girl, I've seen plenty of 8 team rosters press all game, so it's a fair question. And typically the dominant middle girls teams just press and get all their points that way.
Anyway, good on you for coaching girls basketball, particularly that young. That's a rough age to coach both in terms of skills and maturity.

No you havent. Not to mention in that tournament it was three games in one day.
There are literally always players that you just cannot take off the floor. You cant press all game with that in mind. The bench is too short. That remains the same for Auburn. When Petty leaves you need him back quick.

I highly doubt we got 5% of our points from press.

Pretty much. If you add him to this year's team and slide Tahaad to the 2 we would have been a tremendously better team.
Tanner wasn't a transfer btw, he just made a huge sophomore year jump to be a stud. Players like that are an example of why I think we still need to be recruiting good high school players.

Pressing, boys or girls, at that age is just coaches trophy hunting. You're not doing your team any good or preparing them for school ball by pressing kids that aren't physically capable of beating a press the right way.

Well good thing is I didn't press unless teams asked me to.
And first halves press is bant. They get to cross half court first.

As a matter of fact if you could do one thing to disrupt my team it would be ban the outlet pass. We stressed full court three man weave every practice starting when we were in 8U and now we mostly ran people out of the gym.
Btw we won the championship in 8U then as well. Press completely bant then

Yes I have my dude, though I was referring mainly to middle and high school ball not club ball. So no three games in one day stuff there. My girls high school team typically has had 7-8 players in the rotation (small charter school) her three years there and typically presses all game unless it's a blowout or they are playing teams it isn't effective against.
Though even in the 3 games in one day weekend tournaments she played in I would see teams with 8-9 girl rotations press all game. This was 12-14 year olds, not 10 and under year olds though.

Which is a good thing. Girls aren't learning the skills they need at that age if you are just pressing your way to wins. You are doing it the right way.

Yeah school ball is different. Conditioning sessions are way more intense and they actually practice more than two days a week in season but I dont know that I have ever seen a team press all game even in school ball. All you gotta do is bust it. This is some UAB shite.

Hey Hey!
If we unlose some more games we are doing great!

Out here it's pretty common in middle school girls club ball for 3-4 club teams to just full press all game and smoke the lesser teams because those teams don't have good guard play and passing skills yet.
It was really hard to find my girl a decent club team because of it. As you can imagine the coaches of the club teams that are playing that way are douchebags and not teaching good skills.
As Marshall said, it's terrible for developing skills.

You say out here like you are in a women's basketball hot bed.
I had softball moms roll their eyes that the tournament was late February.
Send your girl to me. lol
