That was 5 seconds. Should have gotten the ball back there.

This isn't mean to be a slam, but it is a curiosity... a lot of our teams lately have had strong regular seasons and faded late. Other teams seem to catch fire late, like we did in our F4 year. Is that just lack of depth?

Broome was great but 5/12 from the FT line ain’t gonna cut it in a Final Four level game.

Broome free throws and Pettiford had a really bad game. Happens but hopefully we can rest, regroup, and be ready for next weekend

Strangely don’t feel much different after that. Still think we have a squad that can make a run. Have Broome shooting FT’s in the gym all week and we’ll be fine. Perttiford needs to decide what he’s made of

Nah it’s literally just teams getting hot. We play disperse minutes more than pretty much any team in the country. In fact, that’s the favorite off season criticism of Bruce.

There’s not secret recipe for your team getting hot in March other than not killing them in the regular season. Hell most of our fans had given up on the final four team until the conference tournament, and then again after the NMState game.

Can’t win all of them, we should be ok with not having to play another bruising final against Florida or Bama and get banged up. We put 65 points on the #1 defense and could have won if we made our FTs. Tahaad will be fine in the tournament. I feel a lot better about making a deep run.

Pettiford had a really bad SEC tourney. Fortunately he will be against some weaker teams to start the NCAA and will hopefully get out of this slump because AU is not advancing beyond the Sweet 16 without him contributing offensively.
