After the performance today and Freeze backtracking his faith in Thorne, I would bet Freeze is letting the money folks know if we can get some extra money then we need some for a QB. If that’s the case I’m glad we found out today and not in September… again.
Salter is obviously one to keep an eye out for. The portal closes Jan 2 so we should know what our options are soon. Unless it’s an absolutely slam dunk it doesn’t seem like Freeze wants to take a summer enrollee.

That time period is only for players entering the portal.
They can commit and enroll any time after that, depending on the school’s last day to enroll for the spring semester.

Either guys who didn’t fair well in spring or ones that had to wait to graduate, but this should only be the case for people with credit transfer issues now that it looks like multiple transfers are going to be allowed.

Again, I was hoping PT could turn it around and be the guy and I know we were missing a bunch of players but WOW just WOW today was brutal and left me doubting.

So basically this reads to me that Hugh is probably out of time to find a real good portal QB unless he gets Salter.
Which, of course, Freeze already gave his spill of first year portal dudes don't do a whole that first year. Would he want to endure another first year of growing pains from a portal transfer?

I really can’t comprehend how the team looks great one week and trash the next. Is it all effort? It’s basically the same players. Or is it coaching? Or some master plan to look like shite in year 1? We’ve seen this team go toe to toe against way better competition.

Honestly who knows. I’m sure communication is going on indirectly to gauge interest. It’s all still new but I wouldn’t be surprised to see another wave of guys entering the last day once bowls are over and coaches have had time to have all their conversations/evaluations.
