Well done on the press conference. His excitement about some of the potential staff texting him, got me hopeful.
He said the right things, he won't squash all the hate out there yet, but I can see that with time, folks will come around.

I don’t think they had to force him. I think Freeze is the type of coach that would make sure he kept Caddy on staff.
After seeing what Caddy has done this past month what coach would not want to keep him? He’s invaluable to Auburn and the program.

Keeping Caddy is really a win all the way around...Caddy sells Auburn to recruits, helps integrate Hugh to Auburn and get fan and booster buy-in. In return, Coach Lac gets more experience in an elevated role that will help if he does have ambitions to be an OC or HC. Hard to imagine he's ready for that now (heard on WJOX this afternoon that Caddy had said he was missing being more hands on with the kids), but his stock has done nothing but go up in the last month.
