I just thought Calzone was funny and appropriate.. like Water Polo Kessler.

I think Calzada was the least accurate QB among starters in the SEC per PFF. On the other end of the discussion, he also had 2 of the highest game scores of a SEC QB per PFF

It’s no surprise that a fanbase looking for consistency at a position is unhappy with another inconsistent looking QB

You're funny with your demands....

Run along? good one..

All I can say is that Bo's not here, and I hope that Harsin and Davis can make something out of Calzada that gives us a better chance than Finley has shown...

What you consider a demand I consider courtesy to you. Do I need to pull up steeler commentary about Finley post Georgia State?

No, we've been down that road before. I don't like to go in circles..but move forward.
And I already told you I was wrong on Finley. That's the best I can do...

I would rather discuss ways to make us better now...

and when my dad told me to run along..that was not a compliment...

Finley hasn't embarassed himself. Not winning any games with his performance, but not Jeff Klein either. The light switch may turn on and he may be Darth Vader next year. I like that we'll have a much improved QB room and have subtracted a pious diety and father that thought they were bigger than AU.

I don’t really understand what you’re getting at with these stats. I’m not even a Nix hater but these stats mean very little without game context. Nix averaged 6.9 yards per attempt in his career. Therefore IMO it’s impossible to call Nix a good deep ball passer because obviously he didn’t throw it enough for it to matter

And just looking at the stats would imply Vandys QB is better than Bryce Young lol

If Bo was actually the SECs most accurate passer he would be training for the NFL. Plenty of NFL QBs have been drafted despite mediocre stats. Obviously scouts don’t see in Bo what they saw in those QBs

Jang but what about Pat Nix demands? You ain’t factored that in. That decreases down field pass percentage by 20. And nepotism, that’s the only reason why Bo was starting. Remember.

Hence my courtesy to you.

Now if you want to have a conversation about how fans made a mistake with Bo then let’s do it.

I’m not going to be as quick to move on considering it was the fans that ran him off for garbage.

some Auburn fans would bitch about his age if we brought Tom Brady in. We bitch as much as any fanbase in any sport. I don't have a graph, but I don't need one.

No it wasn’t. That’s asinine. Every program’s fans are critical of their QBs when they aren’t doing well.

Every fanbase must be a lot smarter than ours because I see we got a worse QB than the one we ran off.

Fanbases are supposed to support their players.

Especially the ones w/o help.

I get your point Jang.

I may have wanted to see what Finley could do early in the year bc Bo basically was not consistent, and I wanted to see Finley bc he showed at times some things Bo wasnt doing. Now, once Finley had more reps, he showed his flaws too.

I was in the stands for the games and never dogged Nix publicly or on social media, and really never got personal with him here. I just dealt with the play of a QB and my uneducated fan opinions.

A lot of people who dog Nix, seem to do so bc of his family and how they feel. I could care less what goes on behind the scenes. Coaches can deal with that.

I know you want to get back at those that pounded on Nix, and the forums I read there are always going to some who want to dump over and over again on him and him leaving. And you feel those that are social warriors may have helped influence Nix and his family to want to start a clean slate somewhere else.

His legacy name ended up being part of his curse.

After you both make-out, what am I missing?

Finley was average. Not good, not bad. IMO he showed a lot of characteristics of a guy who hasn't played a lot of football, or hasn't been asked to read defenses, coverages. This a Jason Campbell redux from Taylorsville MS. He threw about 200 passes in his HS career too.

Finley may show up in the spring next year and have figured it out and rips it up. He's got the physical tools. Calzada has very similar tools and has been pressured and schooled by Jimbo. Davis is a wildcard.

I'll just say this. The AU QB room is improved.
