If Brown comes here and puts up similar numbers next season, then it will be easy to replace him with someone as good as Deuce and we wont have to pay to babysit him all year while they sit with their arms crossed bc AG wont hitch his reputation to a very inexperienced and young QB. Ive seen WAYYY to many JF3, and K.Fraziers to bet on hype of an Auburn QB and paying to appease him. I dont even see how people are seriously that bought into the DK hype that they dont even want Auburn to bring in a better QB. It time to start bringing the best QB possible from the portal every year and let the HS kids win the job if they want to play.
the best likely scenario is swap Deuce for Brown and bring in another backup that is cheaper and use any NIL left on the OL. Then hope that Brown shows out and we win 10 games so brining in a elite portal QB will be easy peasy next season.

If Deuce is smart and I think he is, he has a grasp on what he needs to do. Auburn is a great opportunity for him to be special. There aren’t many offensive systems in the country that have produced what Golesh and Brown has.
Brown is one of only 12 players who have passed for 3k and ran for 1k in a season. The names on that list include Vince Young, Johnny Football, Lamar Jackson(twice), Kyler Murray, Jalen Hurts(Oklahoma), and Jayden Daniels, the latest even being transfer QBs.
There were also 2 QBs from Northern Illinois that did it back to back seasons, which brings me to my point. They had a prolific offense. They had a proven system.
Brown has done it, is very capable of doing it again and I truly believe that Deuce has the ability to do it as well.
This is a golden opportunity for everyone involved, especially Deuce, no pun intended

I think Deuce has the talent to be a heisman contender/winner, especially in this offense

Just a question to throw out there, who would you rather have?
Malcolm Simmons- 25 catches, 457 yards, 2 TDs
-or-
Keshaun Singleton- 50 catches, 877 yards, 8 TDs
And what about if Singleton was less than Simmons cost?
I want to say i would take Singleton hands down, the only unknown here is what could Simmons do with a better qb, and oline blocking for the better qb in Golesh's offense?

We’re most definitely going to be in the top 10 but could be better than that with this portal class, so far

Still think Duke Smith will make you forget who Simmons was. Was top 5 athlete in recruiting sites. But its his vision that sets him apart, man runs smooth as glass through holes in the defense.
Over 1000 yards rushing and 1400 yards catching his junior season. And if we did not have Newboy and Winters at safety Duke would probably be on that side of the ball, but he wants to be a receiver.

The amount of people No3 gets on X is outstanding. We could all learn to step up our trolling game from the masters. I’m talking Keef Kneebur levels.

Nokos is basically the gospel just short of Wiltfang and Keef

I think the days of home growing a qd that stays in the program 3-4 years is gone. I’d quit dropping a bag on high schoolers if I ran things.

I tend to disagree if you have offensive success and the QB is groomed to take over his Jr year. But, they will not stick around on a losing team.

Doesn’t matter winning or losing. They will bolt. I would put all priorities in OL/DL and the mid skill positions like running back linebacker TE and safety Maybe look for some depth pieces at the skill positions from high school but fill your starters at the skill spots with proven players from the portal if we are gonna be throwing 30ish million around. That should place us somewhere in the Top 12 spenders in the country

Something like the top eight QBs in Manning's class, he is the only one still with the school that picked them out of high school......and probably the highest paid so no where else to go with that price tag
Fun fact, or sad fact:
And dont buy personalized Jerseys.......
Michael Jordan made approximately $7 million in royalties when Lionel Messi transferred to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in
The profit came from a partnership between the Jordan Brand (a Nike subsidiary) and the French club PSG, which used the Jordan Brand logo on its kits. Jordan reportedly receives a 5% cut of PSG jersey sales, and the demand for Messi's number 30 jersey after the transfer was massive, resulting in millions in royalties for Jordan.

Same here. If we see it then surely our coach does. Paying a HS QB is literally giving money away

thUGA and uat have been two of the top teams in the country and have been relying on former high school recruits at QB. Their secret is that they keep signing top QBs, so if one doesn’t pan out, the next one does. Then they cut loose the one that sucks. This is the way.
