Was listening to former college players today, and they were talking about how the players today are looking at the next opportunity from year to year. Whereas, when they played, their next opportunity was the NFL and only transferred if things got toxic or a coach left/fired. Said the days of love and loyalty to schools are waning.

Most "agents", handlers, and uncles are POS grifters. More movement is good for them.
Best case scenario, they are like parents who think their kid is special and can play D1 ball (because Johnny goes to all the camps and has a personal position coach).

Dang our CB room is taking a hit. Down to Woodby, Plesant and Williams. Hopefully we bring a couple in from the portal.

We need at least 2 quality starters and a 3rd guy for depth. Maybe even a 4th depending on what a couple of others do.

Yeah, this is when the pitch has to become reality. No way for that to really happen without formally entering the portal process.

I just want to win. Get rid of who you want. Process who you need to. Bring in players you believe in. Retain those you think are bought in.

Same. I removed all emotional ties to the kids. Especially when they're not winning. Have to treat them the same way they treat us.

Bo Nix was the first ever recruit that I know of to ditch Auburn and rise upward. Before then, they fell to JSU or wherever. The guys that were good stayed at Auburn and we made sure of it. We didnt just let Carlton Davis walk after year one or let Carl Lawson walk because he couldn't wrap up on 90% of his sack attempts.
Now we are experiencing a new can of worms that is completely detrimental to the fan. HS recruits are irrelevant and their light experience is apparently used against them. If they dont produce as much as 24 year olds like 23 year old BJT or Jay Hardy then we can reason why they need less money. Absurd. There is nobody worth paying attention to.

Yep me too. I wait until fall before getting invested in a "favorite" player and will act as if its their last year. No more buying jerseys of a guy amd wearing it 3 years. I hope in the future these days are seen as the growing pains of CFB becoming enjoyable while being monetized. Can't help but feel its only going to get less enjoyable with each passing year.
