I think we finally have a return to some real defense across the board for all teams this year. Last year with the lack of spring and weird fall camp very little tackling was done and offense exploded for everyone. This year the first couple games the defenses are going to be way ahead

Mertz is God awful.

So is Nix. Him vs Penn State secondary scares me, if they can’t get the run game going.

I mean, we need to Tank to have a great day. I think he will.

And PSU winning this one sets up an excellent game in a few weeks, but if we are being honest, how many redzone turnovers occurred in that game?

Nix is a way better athlete and has a lot more confidence. Mertz looked scared. Bo’s not perfect but I do think he will be better than 5 yards per attempt and 0 TDs to 2 interceptions

He sure did. I can see Penn State being a good game. Even though Wisconsin and Iowa will make them tired before playing us. Hopefully that factors in.

Incredible improvement.

He had two incompletions with one of those being a drop.

He didn't have happy feet in the pocket.

He stepped into every throw he made.

The last drive in the second half is what really impressed me. He took off on the one pass play.............after moving around in the pocket looking for a receiver.

It shows me the value of good coaching.
